“The hotel is ideally located, well maintained and has very helpful staff. The spa is excellent and has a bar accessible directly from it. Breakfast was good and all produce tasted local. The hot tub was secluded with a great view.”

“The staff were great - friendly and welcoming. The room was on the small side but we were only there for one night, and it was clean and comfortable (and the view of the hills was lovely). There was a large fan provided, which was very welcome given the heatwave that was taking place that week, We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. A perfect place for an overnight in the Lakes.”

“This was a nice place to stay for a few nights, and quiet apart from the neighbour’s yappy dog and in a great central location for Windermere. Helpful staff, breakfast was good - perhaps could do with slightly bigger portion sizes though. The shower was tiny. Only comfortable if you are child-sized. This was my only bugbear as I am a 6ft fat bloke. Car parking plentiful. But be aware if you have an SUV you might struggle to get round the back because of the poor parking of others making it...
