“Ett lugnt och trivsamt hotell med bra spa avdelning. En liten bit ifrån centrum av Grasmere. Restaurangen upplevdes lite stimmig och maten var ok. ”

“A wonderful old country house for an overnight stay. The staff were exceptional, from check-in, through evening meal, to check-out. Welcoming, friendly and professional. We had an excellent meal in The Grill. The view from our room was spectacular.”

“Older hotel with some renovated rooms (which are lovely). Great sized pool with very warm water. Changing rooms in the evening were out of shower gel and full of wet towels. Lockers had keys but no wrist bands so no easy way of storing them. The pool has selected hours that children can use it and these are currently morning or after 4pm. Great location but the hotel doesn’t own the car park and its free parking behind the adjacent aquarium. You get a ticket from the hotel put in your window....

“Lovely B&B with spacious, comfy room & bathroom, all spotless and containing everything we needed. Excellent breakfast with a good selection of bars and restaurants nearby for dinner. Easy walk from here down to Bowness. Easy check-in and advance breakfast ordering system but the icing on the cake were the lovely staff. Advised them we had just got quietly married and got back to find they’d decorated our bed! So sweet ❤️”

“We have stayed in this Hotel on many occasions. It has recently been taken over by new owners, so improvement works are underway but did not interfere with our enjoyment. Disappointed to discover at check out we had to pay for parking at £15 per day. This was not the case in the past, when parking was free for residents. Good location with beautiful views of Lake Windermere”

“The views, hotel is set on the cliff looking over the bay. Hotel was really very old and unique. Staff were very nice and helpful. We stayed in an annex a short winding path through the lovely gardens We had breakfast everyday and dinner twice in the hotel all lovely would recommend eating in.”
