Les pièces sont grandes et la maison est très propre. Si nous devions trouver un petit défaut ce serait sur l’équipement de cuisine. Par exemple il n’y avait que deux petites cuillères et pas d’égouttoir pour les pâtes ce qui est en comble en Italie . Mais ces petits désagréments n’ont pas altéré notre merveilleux séjour. ”

The only issue was we are travelling by bicycle and the road up to the accommodation was greater than 12% grade and all gravel. Very difficult to get to. For other cyclists know ahead of time that you have a significant uphill push but worth it when you get to the top.”

“Wonderful place to stay! Extremely friendly host. The property is so beautiful. Right on the lake. We made coffee and sat on the black sand beach in the mornings, and painted near the beach in the evenings. The kids played in the nice, clean pool. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the town of Bolsena was a 5 minute drive, with plenty of options for food. We chose this location for access to Terme di Saturnia (1 hour drive) and Civita Di Bagnoregio (30 min drive). We found our stay here...

“Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. In der näheren Umgebung kann man viele schöne alte Städte besuchen. Die Seen in der Umgebung laden zum Schwimmen ein. Das Haus ist sehr ruhig gelegen. Wir konnten uns hier sehr gut nach unseren Ausflügen erholen. Unsere Gastgeber waren immer für uns da.”

"We had an amazing experience at Hotel Della Fortezza! The unique atmosphere and historic setting made our stay truly special. What really stood out to us was the hotel’s strong commitment to sustainability — from eco-friendly practices to their focus on local, organic products. We especially loved the delicious locally produced food, which gave us a real taste of the region. It’s clear that the hotel values quality and the environment in everything they do. Highly recommended — definitely worth a visit!"

"A 10/10 experience throughout (and an amazing hot spring, with millennia worth of history). Not for anyone going for a budget experience, but worth every penny. Can recommend trying to stay for at least a couple of nights, as a single night might make you struggle to do everything you can and want to do. Only issues were a misunderstanding during check-out (so I had to pay twice for something, but I had thrown away the receipt so partially my fault), and that the valet parking guy had changed all settings on my car as it was returned."
