Firstly, I saw the reviewsâŠ. I knew this place was going to be run down and not have any amenities. I was totally ok with that. But when I got there the unit clearly hadnât been cleaned. There was human hair, dog hair, and sand everywhere. Not a big deal I cleaned it all and moved on. The next morning the microwave caught fire and started arching while we used it. I have a special needs toddler who is very picky, so I needed a microwave to feed him. I called Vacasa, who actually manages this place, and they gave me the run around. I spent 5 hours that day trying to get a new microwave for the room on the phone with them. The next morning they finally came and replaced the microwave. The next morning sewage started backing up in the toilet, sink and shower. It was the entire building, not just our unit. I called Vacasa, and VRBO to try and get a remedy. Spent another 4 hours on the phone trying to get them to give me at least a partial refund and find us a new place to stay for our last night. Literally everyone I talked to, managers included, were rude and dismissive and refused to help me. They promised theyâd update me, but never did. Finally I was able to track down on site maintenance and they let us know that they couldnât fix the issue and weâd be called by Vacasa because theyâd find us a replacement place to stay. Well surprise surprise they didnât. They did give us a refund, but I had to drive over 12 hours home. Thereâs so much more but Iâve reached the character lim
