“Loved the cottage Red Deer. We have stayed in the one bedroom before Brochure. Settee was a bit uncomfortable. No hairdryer although listed as having one, so had to go and buy a travel hairdryer. Disappointed that there wasn’t any hand soap provided in the bathroom Apart from that we would come back as it is very spacious. ”

“Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here! A nice, straightforward, and easy 35 minute walk to the center of Inverness. We had 5 adults and 2 children (ages 4 and 2) and there was plenty of space for all of us. It got a bit toasty at times with no AC, but we made it work. The washer/dryer combo took a long time to wash and dry, and we could never figure out how to turn on the hot water to the bathtub (those things were probably on us), but overall was a clean and cozy stay; it was our favorite...

“Welcomed by Keith who talked us through everything in relation to breakfast, our room etc. Everything was perfect. Hubby was happy as coffee machine in our room! Spacious, large en-suite with good shower. Loved the ‘hair straightener’ slate on the dressing table to ensure no burn marks left - I used that. Huge choice for breakfast. Lovely room to eat it in. The property is in a great position. Would definitely recommend & return. ”

“Ein sehr schönes Häuschen, recht gut ausgestattet. Eine Spülmaschine fehlt. Anreise ist etwas schwierig über einen Single Track, man muss schon Glück haben.”

“What a lovely location. Perfect spot for the two of us to recharge our batteries doing some local walking and also exploring further afield around Inverness and Loch Ness. Lots to do on a week long stay and on top of that a lovely, clean, fully equipped cottage for us to stay in. We strolled along the beach to Chanonry Point several times Took us about 30 minutes each way, hoping to see the dolphins, without success, although almost everyone we talked to had seen them. It didn’t matter...

We visited Loch Ness, Dunrobin castle, Inverness and Aviemore, but also enjoyed the fields and trails available right out the front door. A lovely home ina locely spot. ”

Gregor answered every question we had in a very timely manner and even gave us a ride to the train station on our last day. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. “We had the most stunning holiday at New Brachkashie! From the moment you enter the cottage you feel at home. It’s cosy, warm, beautifully decorated and has the best view from the kitchen table! During our stay we explored Fort Augustus and nearby places but the biggest adventure was on the islands of loch Knockie that we reached by cottage boat! Most incredible memories for our children! Can’t wait to be back!”

“Clava Cottage couldn't be better located! A quick walk to the bridge and you are in the heart of the city and great food. My husband and I, along with our three children (14,12,9) enjoyed our stay in Inverness (3 nights). The flat was a great home base after exploring all day. Great family room for us all to eat together and enjoy a movie! Two bathrooms and ample space for the kids (they stayed upstairs). It was nothing fancy but just what we needed. Gregor left some essentials in the kitchen...

"Vi blev positivt överraskade. Bilderna gör inte hotellet rättvisa. Väldigt trevlig och välkomnande personal. Jättefint rum som var välstädat och kändes nästan nyrenoverat. Jättegod mat i restaurangen på kvällen, bra service och bra priser. Enda negativa var att vi bara hade bokat en natt!"

Avoid Mercure Hotel Inverness – This Place Needs a

"Don’t check in here unless you’re ready to deal with arrogance and zero accountability. Our first room had no heating – radiators didn’t work. Things break, fair enough, but the way we were treated by Cathlynn at reception was unacceptable. At 7:30 PM we reported it. By 9:30 PM, still nothing had been done. We were handed a shabby blanket and a small heater. At 11 PM we were downgraded to a smaller, warmer room. Next morning we were promised a 30% refund and an upgrade for our last night. What we got was the same category we originally booked – not an upgrade. Worse, the room hadn’t been cleaned: used coffee cups, wet towels, unmade bed – and our luggage was already moved in. Again, met with “not my fault” attitudes. I repeatedly asked to speak to the manager – apparently never there, even though we saw him during breakfast. Hotels.com was no help either. Claimed they couldn’t reach the hotel – I called myself and got through instantly. Staff kept apologizing but never followed up as promised. This hotel needs someone responsible at the wheel. Until then, stay elsewhere."
