"Great value for money – basic, but has what you need
Don’t expect any luxury. The room was very small, almost like a little prison cell 😅 There was no wardrobe, storage space or even a glass for drinking water. We also didn’t receive any towels.
But for the price we paid, the important things were there: a clean private bathroom with shower and toilet, very clean white bedsheets that smelled fresh, good Wi-Fi, a decent breakfast buffet and, most importantly during the very hot days, a fan that was incredibly helpful.
The location was excellent. There’s a bus stop right outside, restaurants and shops across the street, and Elephant & Castle is around a 10-minute walk away, giving you easy connections to the rest of London. There are also direct buses towards London Bridge and central areas.
It’s more of a hostel than a hotel, with lots of young travellers, but we actually enjoyed that – it was lively and gave the place a real travelling atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and there’s also a café and vending machines downstairs.
Overall, everything is basic and average – but for a budget stay in London, it was excellent value for money. Great location, private bathroom, breakfast, Wi-Fi, clean bedding and friendly staff. For the low price we paid, I really couldn’t ask for much more. I give it 10/10"
