Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had – unsafe, rude management, and fake charges
I have traveled extensively and stayed at many hotels, and ME Cabo has been the worst experience I have ever had.
First, only a few hours after check-in, someone entered our room without permission and turned off the lights while we were inside. No explanation. No apology. A serious violation of privacy and safety.
Second, our confirmed stay was December 12–14. Due to a misunderstanding when extending the stay, multiple bookings were created for December 15 and one was canceled within about an hour. Even though the room was not used and check-in is at 2 PM, the staff refused to help, blamed Expedia, and still charged us. Expedia later confirmed the hotel had the power to fix it but refused.
The manager was rude, dismissive, and would not even let me speak. Completely unprofessional.
Finally, during checkout we were stopped and forced to pay a “damage” fee for something that never happened. No room inspection, no explanation, no proof — just pay or you can’t leave. It felt like intimidation and taking advantage of guests.
For a hotel claiming premium standards, this was shocking, unethical, and unacceptable.
I am requesting a full refund of the forced damage charge and duplicate December 15 charges. I strongly warn future guests — beware of hidden fees, rude management, and zero accountability.
