  • Lägenheten ligger på första våningen i Palazzo Pfanner, en prestigefylld barock byggnad och "historisk byggnad" belägen i centrum av Lucca, och återskapar atmosfären i antika patricianska bostäder. Lägenheten, som är freskomålad under arton- och artonhundratalet, med sitt ursprungliga takbjälke och venetiansk "seminato" -golv, erbjuder en fantastisk panoramautsikt över den historiska trädgården från det sjuttonhundratalet i Palazzo Pfanner och de intilliggande stadsväggarna. Består av ett stort och ljust dubbelrum med tre stora fönster med utsikt över trädgården (med möjlighet att lägga till två hopfällbara sängar för barn från 0 till 4 år), ett badrum med duschkabin, en lounge-matsal (med två extra sängar), från ett kök med antik stenhäll och från en korridor, är lägenheten möblerad med några finmöbler. Öppen spis kan endast användas med ägarens samtycke. Från lägenheten kan du komma åt den intilliggande monumentala bostaden och trädgården gratis. A wonderful, stately and spacious apartment in this elegant palazzo. Historic Lucca is on the doorstep after leaving the grand portico and gardens full of lemon trees. The host is most helpful and responsive.

Stunning sums it up! Beautiful, spacious rooms with amazing garden view. Kitchen with all amenities. Lucky to have chamber music concert in the lobby during our stay. Close to good restaurants, shopping and the historic walls. Highly recommend a stay here.

Our stay in the palazzo was great. We loved the buildings and the gardens. Dario was a great host. Highly recommended. Tip for future guests - the hot water worked best when the central heating was turned on.

The property is so special and welcoming. The location could not be better and looking over the garden toward the wall was a favorite memory of our week. The kitchen offered everything we needed. Will book again!

Absolutely fantastic stay at Palazzo Pfanner. Dario is incredibly helpful and his communication is great. Lucca is such a gorgeous city and we enjoyed hours cycling round the city walls. We visited Palazzo Pfanner a few years ago, so to have the opportunity to stay in an apartment there was such a treat. It is absolutely gorgeous! It has absolutely everything you could possibly need.

What a magnificent experience

We were greeted at the station and brought to the property which is just as it is pictured. Lucca is a very special historical and classy place. Can not speak more highly of our stay here. Cinque Terre was a day trip which was an 1hr train ride. Perfect location

Lucca Visit

The flat is amazing- more impressive in person than photos can show. It's in a beautiful villa that's inside a walled garden, so we got to enjoy the privacy and the whole garden. The flat is still decorated as authentic to the period, but the furnishings are comfortable and the 2 main rooms are huge. And you can't beat the location inside the walled portion of the city. We really enjoyed our stay!

A highlight of our trip

We will always have fond memories of our stay at the Palazzo Pfanner. What a privilege to stay in this fine Palazzo. We loved looking out the windows onto the amazing garden. Dario was wonderful and even invited us to attend a concert in the Palazzo. The location is a short walk from the walled city. So much to see there. Don’t pass up the chance to stay here.

Awesomely wonderful.

Must experience a property like this to appreciate how the nobility lived. The gardens are out of this world for relaxation. The host Dario is a rather cultured person so a pleasure to meet. What an experience staying in a Palazzo in Lucca! Looking out to the garden from our palatial bedroom window and walking in the garden in the evening after the tourists left were just magnificent! Walking the wall and feeling very special as everyone stopped to photograph “our garden”! Dario and Ettore were very helpful with suggestions for dining and places to visit. Lucca is a magical destination!

Pure magic

I have never stayed in a place as beautiful and awe-inspiring as Palazzo Pfanner. I teared up when I walked in. It is truly breathtaking. Dario is a lovely host who came to the rescue when I left my passport in the room after I'd checked out. Simply perfect in every way. I cannot wait to bring my family to this spectacular place. Lucca is now my favorite Italian town. I miss it already!

Lucca’s gem

Dario and Ettore, our hosts, we’re gracious and kind. The property is a historic landmark in Lucca. People pay to view the gardens, that are basically our back yard. The gardens open to the public between 10-5. This afforded us the opportunity to have quiet breakfasts and dinners in this beautiful garden. Simply amazing! The rooms have 25’ ceilings and the rooms are huge. The bed was very comfortable.

We had a remarkable and memorable stay at the Palazzo! It’s a very unique experience, to wake up in a Palazzo in Lucca, like a king. The location is wonderful, very near to the wall for walks, and close to shopping and dining options. Dario is very communicative and a pleasure. The only down side is that the garden is being redone, so you don’t have access to it, and there is some construction noise, but that will be finished and we will return to see the new garden. If you are looking for an enchanting experience, to transport yourself back to a different time, this is it. Thank you Palazzo Pfanner!

Just Heavenly

Such a beautiful Palazzo steeped in history and elegance. Dario is an affable, gracious, and helpful host. The gardens are lovely with statues and a large fountain. The location is perfect, an easy walk to restaurants, cafes, and all kinds of shops. That is if you ever want to leave the palatial apartment, with its tall windows and view of the gardens. We purchased groceries from some local stores and had breakfast in our lovely dining room every day. We also enjoyed several charcuterie and salad luncheons there. The atmosphere and acoustics are wonderful. We sang and played guitar in the evenings to entertain ourselves and it was delightful! My husband and I have already booked for next year. We are in love with Lucca and Palazzo Pfanner! Thank you, Dario!

This is a very large apartment in a spectacular, historic palazzo. The rest of the "first" floor (American "second floor") is a museum and a continuation of the very high ceilings and beautiful decoration. The steps are what the Italians call 'comfortable'--not too steep. We absolutely loved it. A decent kitchen (no oven or dishwasher) allowed us to cook 'at home' several evenings with the gorgeous local fresh produce, meats, pasta, and cheeses. Many large (10 foot?) windows give views of the spectacular gardens and up to the walls of Lucca. Restaurant was closed during our stay. Some people might find the bathroom a little worn-out, and the water wasn't very hot, but if you can overlook that, it is an incredible experience to stay in this apartment. We were there eight days and loved it.
