“Stayed for a couple of weeks whilst our house was rewired. Nice part of the world, comfortable accommodation, wasn't rushing to go home. Though I live in Worcester it was nice to explore this part of the county. ”

“A really lovely quiet stay where birdsong and the occasional chicken or sheep are the only noises you will hear. If you want to get away from it all for a few days yet be well positioned to explore Ludlow and the local area then this is the place for you. A car is a must to get around but there are some nice walks right from the doorstep.The property is well equipped, has everything needed for a perfect stay and is spotlessly clean. There is also a private grass garden with seating. Would not...

“Lovely property. Parking proved difficult to ensure our 4x4 did not block next doors gate. The road was extremely busy whilst we manoeuvred the car as close are we could to the fence. The stone plant pot did not help. Although the garden is lovely the property would appeal more if the lawn was hard core for easier off street parking.”

“Lovely Stay in Drake Cottage. Your accommodation is good value for money and Furnished to a high standard. Myself and Laura was grateful for the homemade valentines cookie. We didn’t need to see Anyone as we knew the check in and other procedures from visiting in October 2020 and July 2021. Hope to be back again soon”

“We had no hot water the whole time we were there. You cant get hold of the owner, they don't seem to care. Also there are no fans provided and the pod retains heat so it unbearable in the hot days. ”

“Lovely place for a stay but ruined by blatant dishonesty. Owners advertise on multiple platforms that there is an indoor pool - they even have pics, but the "pool" is apparently at an indoor leisure club 4 miles away. Absolute jokers. Even when i contacted the club- i still had to pay for going swimming. Such a disappointing stay and ive lodged refund request from hotels.com”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Vicarage Cottage. It is indeed ‘a hidden gem’ and we would highly recommend it to future guests. The sizeable kitchen, cosy lounge, small landing and exquisitely decorated bedroom all contribute towards a most unique holiday destination. All communication with the hosts was positive and helpful. With many thanks to John and Paul for sharing this beautifully restored cottage with us. ”

"booked a single room for two nights. I stayed in room number 100 and had a 90 bed set in a corner and a view from the window right into a wall. Nothing like the room I had booked on the website. There was a smell of mold in the room and urine in the toilet. I went down to reception after the first night to ask to change rooms and told about the smell. received a reply from the reception who spoke to the hotel manager who told me that the smell is due to the fact that they have just repainted the room and changed the carpet and that they will not arrange a new room for me. Which was a lie because the room was neither repainted nor had a new carpet and I can tell the difference in urine, mold and paint. Poor service from reception and manager but the friendly woman working at breakfast was phenomenal. I will visit beautiful Shrewsbury again but never the Prince Rupert Hotel."
