“Perfect”

“We rented a room with 2 double beds. They were the smallest double beds I’ve ever come across. In the future, I’ll for sure go for a King sized bed! Location near a walking / biking trail is great! Also enjoyed the outdoor seating area overlooking the road.”

“The view was wonderful, and the staff was very helpful. There was a smoky odor in the room, either from the fireplaces in the other units or from the firepit outside. The floor plan of the bathroom in the third-floor room was odd. The open door blocked the sink. We had a little trouble figuring out the A/C controls, so the room was a little too warm. We greatly appreciated the free EV charging stations. They were never ICEd while we were there. We underestimated how tiring the 32 stair steps...

“We enjoyed our stay at the Cascade Lodge! We loved the close proximity to Lake Superior and their private shoreline! We also ate at the restaurant and it was great-food and staff friendliness! There was even live music on the night we were there.”

“Quiet and cozy condos tucked up on the ridge along Lake Superior and the Poplar River. I loved how quiet and still the property was! Even with many of the condos full, there was little noise and I barely noticed others were even there! I also appreciate having a place I can bring my dogs to stay while I'm on vacation. It was truly relaxing and enjoyable. The check-in and check-out process was simple and I had everything I needed for my stay.”

“The balcony overlooking the lake was superb. The room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was minimal but effective for starting out the day. The lounge area in the main lodge was very comfortable. Parking was adequate. The staff was warm and welcoming. A very nice restaurant is only a short drive. Numerous shops (in towns and along the way) over a nice selection.”

“No staff cleaning anything. We were greeted with over full garbage cans outside the door. Dirty stained carpeting throughout the building with a musty smell. Our room had a strange smell to it as if they sprayed something to cover up the faint cigarette smell. The tip envelope in our room said the person that cleaned the room was named smoky. Even though we had the room booked for two nights there was no room service of any sort. If you needed new towels you needed to go ask at the front door...
