“the cottage was lovely the only nuisance was next door had 5 dogs which were noisy l did not mind much because l like dogs but for someone who wants a quiet getaway will not get it but the cottage was great.”

“We first visited Helvetia in 2018, Little has changed, other than improvements to the Sun Room. It's a nice place to stay for a short break away from it all.”

“The novelty of staying in a 400 year old property, in an incredible location, right in the middle of Rye, made this the perfect place for a long weekend. Everything needed was right out the front door - museums, castle, pubs, and cafes. The actual house was well laid out with decent furnishings and clean towels, and linens. However, it was dirty in areas, like the crockery all had to be washed before use, blinds were dirty and dusty, and there was a lot of dust, dirt and dog hair around. Not...

“We loved our stay. The location is fantastic and for us with children being opposite the playground as well as such a short walk into town was great. Rye is just a lovely place and with Camber Sands and other lovely places to explore nearby you can’t go wrong with the location. The main living space is really well equipped with loads of kitchen stuff, sharp knives, comfy sofas and a great selection of books and games. The beds are comfortable and shower is a good pressure. “A great stay in a lovely area. New Hope is close to the beach, shop and pub and is perfect for those with a dog. It's very comfortable and has all we needed and the enclosed outside area is so useful if you have a dog. There's plenty to do within a short drive and we thoroughly recommend it. Thank you!”

“Heel leuk huisje met alles er op en eraan! Super lekker bed en geweldige douche. Op goede locatie, vlakbij Rye, en het strand. Wel even moeten zoeken want huisje ligt aan redelijk drukke weg en Google geeft een andere plek aan op de weg. Dus we stonden in eerste instantie op verkeerde plek. Absolute aanrader!”

“This garage conversion has been thoughtfully and cleverly set up. The location is excellent for the beach and under 10 mins walk to the town’s shops and restaurants. Good and clever little kitchen set up with more than you are likely to use (e.g. small air fryer and twin hot plates). Excellent shower.”
