Jackson Lake Waterfront Oasis with Stunning Views

Enjoy over 200 feet of lakefront on beautiful Jackson Lake in this newly renovated 3 bedroom and 2 bath house - plus a day bed with trundle in sunroom attached to third bedroom -- on about 1 acre. All three bedrooms and sunroom feature lake views. (Master bedroom has king bed; other two bedrooms have queen beds; sun room has two twin beds.) Expansive deck with plenty of seating and a gas grill. Big yard with plenty of shade trees, two hammocks, a firepit, and a dock. Pet-friendly. 2 adult & 2 youth kayaks and 2 paddleboards. 1 flat screen TV. Wifi. Non-smoking home. Hour to Atlanta. About 20 min to Covington. (30 day minimum rentals only)

The space
Here's what we think is special about our home: you enjoy a newly renovated home. But, perhaps more importantly, you can see the lake from EVERY room (OK, except the bathrooms and laundry room).

Here's what we think is special our property: being on a peninsula and having 200-feet of frontage means you get this great view of the lake. And the land across from us is undeveloped so it's not unusual to see deer, heron and other wildlife.

The location
Jackson Lake is a nearly 5,000 acre lake with 135 miles of shoreline. Our home is in between two "no-wake" zones so it is relatively quiet. It's near Bear Creek Marina where you can launch your own boat. In the summer, the marina offers food, drinks and music on the patio on the weekend.

We love that we are only about 20-25 minutes to many restaurants, shops and attractions. After a day lazing around the lake, you are close to plenty of different places to eat and places to explore. Whether you love exploring history, seeking outdoor adventures, or visiting TV and movie filming locations...there is so much to do around here.

BITTERSWEET MEMORIES

The property was wonderful. It was the misunderstanding that the only people allowed on the property were the six who were overnight guest and registered. Your family or friends weren't allowed to even visit or have supper WITHOUT APPROVAL FROM THE LANLORD FIRST. My family is my life and I couldn't imagine them not being able to come for supper and enjoy the lake and the boat without management approving this first. When children are involved no one knows when they can come so to ask for approval first is a little asinine. I did have 2 overnight guest who were not registered ahead of time because they were from South Carolina and plans were up in the air. I fully intended to notify the landlords and pay the necessary fees but I didn't have to because of the cameras and some of the neighbors, the landlord knew before I had the chance and called me. I am a 62 year old adult that doesn't need to be micromanaged. I have rented many homes thru VRBO and probably take better care of them than my own and have never had this issue. I was just made to feel like our rental which was a normal deal no breaks or discounts was much more of a burden to the landlords than a benefit. So to sum it up if you want a nice place to rent feeling like you are being watched every minute then this is your rental.

Wonderful, relaxing weekend

We had a great, relaxing weekend at this lake front property. Pictures were very accurate. Owners were very prompt in responding to all messages and were very accommodating. The neighborhood is quiet. A little noisy on the lake during the holiday weekend, but that is to be expected. Nice to have a restaurant near by. For other renters, if you don't know the area, you may not know the grocery shopping is not very close....I would recommend stopping on your way into the rental to pick up your groceries. Also, the day bed area is a lovely room and while we did not use it, I can see that it would be great for naps, kids or a quiet place to just read, chill out. It is only accessible through one of the secondary bedrooms and the deck so if you are using it over overnight sleeping, plan to walk through another room with potentially sleeping friends/family or around the outside on the deck through the living room. It was not an issue for us, but something I thought other renters should be aware of. We would definitely rent this VRBO again!!

Great lake house

Beautiful property and attentive hosts. This is our second year to rent this lovely lake house. Kris made sure we had everything we needed and checked in when there was an unexpected storm to make sure all was well. Highly recommend this property.

Wonderful lake getaway

We had a great time at Kris and Ross’ lake house. They have thought of so many details to ensure you are comfortable. The house was clean, nicely decorated, and we enjoyed using the kayaks and paddleboards to explore the lake. Kris was very responsive and we could not have been happier. We even got to enjoy a few fireworks shows from the dock for 4th of July. It’s a great spot to enjoy a relaxing lake getaway.

More than Expected!

This is a beautiful, well updated home on a large lot with plenty of space outside and inside. Kris was an amazing host and has truly thought of everything! There were water rafts, fishing poles, kids toys, fire wood, roasting sticks, kayaks, 2 hammocks, paddle boards, bean bag toss boards, and life jackets available outside and inside was just as well stocked! The kitchen had plenty of dish soap and garbage bags, foil and plastic wrap, napkins, paper towels, cleaning sprays, basic spices and oil for cooking, all the pots and pans you’d ever need, and very clean! The laundry room had laundry soap and softener available for use, and we loved the sofa coverings so that we didn’t worry about our fur babies making paw prints on the furniture. Kris was very responsive to my questions and provided a great list of boat rental options in the area to help us secure a booking before we arrived as well. The property is very close to Bear Creek Marina/Restaurant so it was fun for my boys to see lots of boat traffic to and from the restaurant on the weekend. We caught enough fish off the dock to keep everyone entertained and enjoyed a fire each night as well. The setup of the bedrooms worked perfectly for us with two twin beds in the sunroom for our 2 boys (with darkening shades!) next to our bedroom and the master and another bedroom available for our family members. Overall this was an excellent, well stocked vacation rental from an amazing host. Thank you Kris!

Relaxing Retreat!!

We absolutely enjoyed our time at this waterfront oasis! It was just as advertised; tastefully decorated, great amenities and so relaxing. While my attempts at paddle boarding was an epic fail; we enjoyed kayaking and making s’mores by the fire pit. I would highly recommend this property and we are already checking our calendars for a return visit before the summer ends!!!!

Great Lake House

We loved the home and property! Brought a few baby proof door locks for cabinets and it went great for having a 1 and 4 year old, plus multiple adults. A lot was thoughtfully provided: cotton face wipe pads, q tips, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap liquid and pods for dishes, trash bags, straightener and blow dryer, good pots/pans etc. loved kayaking and paddle boarding up to the waterfalls, they even provide a picnic basket and small cooler to take with you. Fun for all ages! Would definitely recommend for anyone, from friend group gathering to family vacation!

Spectacular Getaway

When we first stumbled upon this listing on Vrbo, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect and more. Kristin is the most thoughful, gracious host. We felt so welcome! She provided us with all the information we needed. The house was perfect. Very spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The porch very large with a tranquil view of the lake. House was equipped with everything plus some special personal surprises. The outside area is large. Singing birds with three nesting boxes. Two amazing hammocks and loungers just asking to be used. Toys for everybody adults and children. This place is for adults or family vacation. This is a spectacular place to stay!!!

Couple of days of peace quiet and joy

This is a marvelous place. It is comfortably decorated with nice touches of elegance and care for the visitors. The view of the lake is spectacular and the amenities available made us wish we were there in summer. Can't recommend this listing any higher.

Multigenerational Thanksgiving get together

As seen in the pictures and stated in other reviews, this house is beautiful. Fully updated and tastefully decorated. My family stayed there 4 nights including my 80 yr mother with rollator (just helped her up and down the 2 steps to get in the house), husband, and several young adult children and their dog. We fit very comfortably. It was very easy to follow google directions to get there. I packed everything for our Thanksgiving feast so I don't know how close groceries are but Kris provided a book with all kinds of that information. It was well stocked which was nice as I've had other rentals that only had a single roll of TP in the bathroom. We did not need to buy anything. I appreciated the basics of oil, salt and pepper etc provided as well. Kris was very easy to contact with questions and very receptive to suggestions. We had sunshine and enjoyed the many seating areas on the deck one day, the other days were more cool November like. We ventured out to look at the dam which has a nice beach and picnic spots on the water for summertime. We also went up to the waterfalls and got some nice pictures. Because we were off season the tollbooth was empty but in summer bring cash for the parks. I think the dam was $5 and waterfalls $2 The waterfront is probably a great time in the summer. We also got into the Black Friday spirit with a trip to the outlets on I-75. The house was comfortable but we had a fire in the woodstove anyway for ambience. Toasty. It was a great space for us to meet up for the holiday. It would be really nice to try it in the summer too.

Weekend Retreat

We were pleasantly surprised with the house and all the amenities that are included. The deck over looking the lake has an amazing view. The house had everything you need for an extended stay. Will be looking forward to a return trip soon!

Everything was clean when we arrived The host was always responsive when we had questions. Everything was well stocked including treats for the dog.definitely pet friendly. As listed online great view, huge deck, large fire ring outside., grill on the deck. View from virtually every room. Definitely hope to stay again

Amazing! Totally would recommend!

You could not ask for a nicer lakefront home. There was a dock to fish off of and plenty of outdoor seating (near the fire pit, throughout the yard, and plenty of seating on their very large porch). The location is in a very quiet neighborhood but it was just a quick drive to restaurants. The house had everything we needed (firewood, shampoo/soap/dishwasher detergent, etc.) and there were instructions on how to use everything which was super helpful. The house was very clean when we arrived (and we are very picky) and checking in could not have been easier. We had one quick question and Kris was super-fast to respond. We would totally recommend this house to friends and family!

Excellent lake house!

This is a great property on a peaceful part of Jackson Lake. Very well set up as a rental with great amenities for enjoying the water or just relaxing. This house is great for a family or small group of friends to enjoy lake life. Very clean, modern and comfortable. I would definitely rent here again!

A little piece of paradise

What a comfortable & beautiful home! We appreciate all the little extra’s, especially the book that details all that the home provides plus area attractions, restaurants along with menus & laminated maps to the waterfall! The Property Manager was quick to answer any questions and supplied many amenities! I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a family friendly, relaxing lake front property nestled in the woods of Georgia!

Amazing rental

My family and best friends family stayed at this property for a long weekend. We had a blast! The owners are so helpful and friendly. They supply so many nice things (extra dog sheets, coffee, plenty of paper products, kayaks, paddle boards, floats, etc). Everything inside the house is updated with views of the lake everywhere. The neighbor spoke with us on our arrival and he was also welcoming and friendly. We will definitely stay again!

No need for forced family fun....

.....because this property has something for everyone. Whether an introvert an extrovert, a water-sports enthusiast or a couch potato.... every member of your family can find something enjoyable about this space. Plenty of room for movie viewing, roasting marshmallows, playing board games, and lounging in hammocks.... all after paddling up to the falls at the base of the Alcovy River. There was also plenty of room for everyone to have private space when needed, which is important with transitional age children. My daughter, especially, loved the kitchen and the ability to cook and still be a part of everything happening in the living room. Overall, I believe our happiest family member was our dog, Phoenix, who fell in love with the back deck and the ability to watch all of the wildlife at once. Thank you for the opportunity to have this beautiful place to escape as a family.

Lakefront paradise!!

This is an amazing property! My husband and 10-year-old twins thoroughly enjoyed our spring break trip here. The view is beautiful and can be enjoyed with several seating areas on the large lot or from the large back deck. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck listening to the birds sing. We also enjoyed many meals outside and played board games as a family while watching the sunset. Kris was a wonderful host. She was available for any questions we had during our stay. She supplied many necessities not supplied by hosts, such as trash bags, toilet paper, hand soap, dishwasher detergent, shampoo, body wash, etc. She even allows guests to use her kayaks, paddleboards, and life vests, which was our favorite part of our trip. Kris, thanks for making our vacation so special for our family! We can’t wait to come back!

Love the Lakefront Oasis...

This immaculately kept cottage is centered on a peninsula shaped property that creates privacy and a beautiful lake-only view. It was instantly obvious that we had over-provisioned as every necessity and little extra had been thoughtfully placed throughout the house. The Owner’s generosity meant we didn’t have to run out for something we forgot, and allowed us to quickly relax and feel at home. My sons took full advantage of the owner supplied kayaks and paddle boards and spent most of the day exploring the lake. The lake views are mesmerizing. Coffee is made special by morning mist, and wine time’s western exposure is painted by sunsets. This beautiful location, and the Owner’s attention to detail checked all the boxes for our family. We are planning a return trip...

Amazing

I could not have picked a better spot to bring my family. It’s cozy, clean, beautiful inside and out. We will most definitely be back! We really enjoyed ourselves and the hosts couldn’t have been any more pleasant and accommodating.
