“Cute house and it worked perfect for a last minute trip. The house was clean and had all the comforts of home away from home. We appreciated the games and movies, the kitchen was fully stocked. The beds were also very comfortable. We were in town for a work project and decided to stay and head over to the river to swim. The house was close to everything and our host was very communicative. She even extended early/late check in and checkout. We will stay here again.”

“Well equipped, clean, close to Texas State University. Had personality”

“The house was very well equipped with kitchen needs, ice machine, Keurig coffee, games, etc. There was a broken chair in dining room and one outside but we had plenty of seating. Fans helped keep house nice and cool. The washer and dryer came in handy. The back deck was lovely and we made good use of grill. The train never really bothered us either. Close to activities as well. TV remote was hard to use and figure out, but other than that, we had no issues. I’d book again.”

“Nice property and well maintained. Very easy check in/out and responsive host!Pictures are accurate. Tv in all four bedrooms. Showers in all 4 baths. Be careful stepping out of soaking tub, base of tub is higher than the floor. Well equipped kitchen.”

“This was my birthday retreat and a retreat it was/ Is!!!First and foremost the plants are so beautiful and well maintained. We loved the wrap around porch with multiple seating areas. We were able to enjoy the nature in a city setting which says a lot. I loved our host she was so accommodating and responsive even when I locked us out. The inside is decorated so beautifully as well. Very clean!!Please don’t hesitate to book this GEM!!”

“This is a lovely home, and we enjoyed our stay. Marlen is a wonderful hostess and made us feel very welcome. The location is excellent, close to everything you want to do in San Marcos. I highly recommend this property.”

“Rustic farm house filled with antique furnishings . But very comfy beds and good hot water and air kept us cool . Best place to stay for a night of music and fun at Rileys or the other nearby food n music joint. We laughed and were ok with the trains passing thru so often but hey its part of the experience!!”

“Great place to stay. We had a family get together and everything was perfect. Kim, the host is very responsive and helpful with any needs or questions. Will definitely stay here again the next time we need a place in the area.”

“Very nice place to stay, everything that was needed was provided. Extremely comfortable bed,Thank you!”

“Property was precisely as described. Abundant wildlife on the grounds (I.e. turkey, deer, fox, owls)!! The creek did have water and we caught several nice bass. Overall, solid choice! The fireflies at night were a nice bonus while we were sitting on the deck in the evenings!”
