“We originally booked a stay at the melrose but ended up getting upgraded to a suite at the hotel next door (The Opera House Hotel) it was really nice and clean and affordable!”
“Dominic was very welcoming and gave us a free early check in. The Edge is super close to the A subway line and if you need to be further uptown, this Hotel is a great place to stay. Had a nice gym and lounge area where you could sit and eat or just relax. Convenient location and a different experience staying in the Heights vs Midtown.”
“Good place to stay for some period of time. Stayed in 14-bed room, but didn't have any inconveniences. The beds have curtains, so it's comfortable to sleep. Make sure you have sleeping mask and earplugs. Bathrooms are warm and clean. The staff is very friendly. There are also a lot of activities to socialize, if you want. Unfortunately didn't have time to participate. The location is good enough, near the 103rd station "1" trains. The area is also walkable.”

Frukosten skulle öppnat kl 6 men personalen hade försovit sig och var även otrevlig. Fick inte frukost förrän 07.15 och den var inte värd att vänta på.
Frontdesken hade trevligare personal men skulle inte rekommendera hotellet. ”
“The area is in the heart of the bronx! Everyone stays to their own. The property was perfect for what your going for..travel and fun. The staff is great and friendly..do not underestimate the deli to the right when you step out of the lobby. Polite and great food, quick and efficient. If your boujee you're in the wrong town...this area is open..new age...and home grown. Simple. Yet complex in their own way. I would stay agin if in the area! Great for a Yankee game!”
“We arrived the very last minute before closing time, due to a two hour delayed flight. The receptionist were not pleased at all. Luckily another guest opnened the entrence for us so we got in. We had to sleep five people in two beds because the pull out chair wasn't made. We were still happy we didn't have to try to find something else in the middle of the night after 22 hours of travel.”
“The room and condition was good enough. Couple of minor problems - sound isolation is not good - if somebody slammed the door of wc, if has been heard in the room. The lockers were old and loud. Other things were ok.”
“The room we had original AC wasn’t working right in room 403 (so clean) called front desk and he was such a sweetheart, when I went back to lobby the new room key was ready. Room 406 was so CLEAN!! Ice machine on the 5th floor wasn’t working, Thank god there was ice cups at the corner store. The location is amazing on 3rd ave. Parking also. Smoking or non smoking room. Vending machines had raw paper also 😂!!! I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN!!!!”

“I read the mixed reviews and chose Macaw Guesthouse anyway - I am glad that I did. It was a reasonable option in expensive New York City and it was as described. Charming hosts who went out of their way to welcome me and ensure that I was comfortable. Short walk to transportation options and dining options nearby. Highly recommend and would stay again. ”
“For being what it is, it was OK. Wouldn't stay here with my family, but as someplace to crash overnight it wasn't bad. A bit run down, but the room was clean and the bathroom had even good soaps, shampoo and lotions. Front desk guy (behind glass) was friendly and helpful. ”

"Ok hotell men för små rum och i min smak kitschigt. Men det ligger nära tunnelbanan som tar dig in till dom sevärdheterna som man måste se. Området är ok och om du pratar spanska klarar du dig bra. "
