I stayed at the Renaissance Hotel with two family members for 2 nights expecting a smooth experience in line with the Marriott brand but it was the opposite.
Upon arrival I was required to leave $200 security deposit, but it was not fully refunded, and they give me sketchy reasons for the deduction.
They charge a hidden 25$ destination fee every day you stay. And they do not tell you about it untill they charge you in the end,
They have a resort fee of $25 with no amenities. You get the money back in "restaurant vouchers" but they don’t make it easy to use.
This has been the worst hotel that i've stayed in, the room was not that clean, the sheets had stains on them, the coffee maker in the room was dirty, the wifi was not the best, no free breakfast for such an expensive stay, for 3 people staying in the room there was only 1 small bar handsoap.
We found a regular bottle of water in the room with a $7 tag on it. Limited and expensive food for no good reason.
Location is unpleasant after sundown.
No refrigerator in the room.
The iron was old and broken.
The only thing they had on floor 9 were I stayed was an ice maker machine.
