The check in was an unpleasant start to the stay. It took us an hour to get our garage key (wrong code provided), get into the room and then park the car in the stacker. This included two trips to the car to unload our luggage and several calls to the staff for help. The staff member was so patient. Unfortunately the phone connection (Telstra) kept dropping out in the garage and later in the apartment. The apartment had everything we needed, and was clean enough, although some of the bathroom shelves were dusty, the skirting boards hadn't been cleaned for months, and the outdoor chairs were covered in a brown film, presumably from dust and heavy rain. The bathroom consumables were of good quality and appreciated. It was helpful to have salt and pepper in the kitchen, but it would be a nice touch to provide some oil and glad wrap. Unfortunately the kitchen was very dark to cook in, as the rangehood lights weren't working. It was convenient to have the washing machine in the apartment when traveling with a child. The TV had only free to air channels, but kept my child occupied with ABC Kids and Nickelodeon. The location was excellent and it's a nice neighborhood - very close to Smith St. Overall I liked the apartment, especially the location, but found the price quite expensive, especially given I was charged USD by Expedia (without my knowledge), and I found this unethical.
