âThe hotel was expensive for what it offered. It was so hot inside and the AC was not working. For the price that you pay, the bathroom was so bad. It was called a room with the turkish hamam but that hamam was so bad. The breakfast was alright, i dont recommend the hot meals that they had but everything else was alright. They were super friendly, very nice to you, every single one of the workers was amazing.â

"We stayed at Decamondo Galata for five days with our family. Overall, I would rate our experience a 6 out of 10.
The hotel certainly has charm and historyâhoused in a building over 1,000 years old, which adds a unique character. However, the age of the structure also means that soundproofing is lacking. We stayed on the third floor, directly beneath the restaurant, and unfortunately, we could hear noise from above throughout our stay. The sound of the staff door opening and closing early in the morning, as well as chairs being moved in the evening, disrupted our rest.
Additionally, the cot provided for our four-year-old son was too small, which made sleeping arrangements challenging. The king-size bed was also not very comfortable, which further impacted our overall rest.
On the positive side, breakfast was enjoyable, and the location is excellentâjust a short walk to Galata Tower and close to the metro. The staff were friendly and welcoming, both at reception and in the restaurant. However, the restaurant team did seem understaffed at times, which led to delays during breakfast service.
While there were definitely some positives, the noise issues and lack of comfort made it difficult for us to fully enjoy our stay. Unfortunately, we would likely look for alternative accommodation if visiting Istanbul again."
"I booked a room with a city view, but upon arrival, I was informed that no such room was available. Instead, I was given a different room that did not match my reservation.
Additionally, while the hotel advertises free pool access, they require guests to purchase a mandatory head cover for around 10 eurosâan unreasonable price for an item that costs significantly less.
The staff could benefit from additional training, particularly in customer service. They should provide accurate information about room availability at check-in and treat guests with more transparency and respect."

"Good experience but they could be better in terms of cleanliness and breakfast food. The pool is great but the water is very very cold, we all got sick after swimming once.
Three small bottles of water 0,5 L were free in the room for 3 pr . When we asked for more one time we had to pay 5 euros for each small bottle in cash."
