âThis Inn was a bit strange! We was given a room that was clearly sub standard. Thankfully we was given an other room the next day that was alright. Breakfast was different from most breakfast I âve ever had at a hotel, strange but kind of fun! The whole Inn desperately need some maintenance, but I think the experience very much depends on which room you are given. The staff was helpful and kind. All things considered, I think it was an affordable hotel.â

Sometimes, hotels are simply locations which one uses as a base for activities; although the Empress was at the centre of activities, the lounges were so inviting and relaxing that we had to question whether we just wanted to sit and relax or go sightseeing; we ended up going out a little less and sitting back and doing nothing just...
âLocated on the top floor which was perfect since you couldnt hear the other people staying there. Large and comfortable bed, jacuzzi in the room was perfect after a full day out. Became quiet in the evening around 21.30 which for our type of stay in Victoria.

âMy daughter and I truly enjoyed the pool and hot tub facilities together.

âI wanted a hotel with a great indoor pool ..convenient& walkable to harbour..yet away from crowds ..i was on the 2nd floor ..great for access to outdoor space patio, pool, workout room..lovely touch is fruit bowl in the workout room⊠rooms are huge with large windowsâŠeven one opensâŠ.all in all iâd stay here again AND same floor âŠ.felt so homeyâŠâ

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders praktisch: Man kann kostenlos FahrrĂ€der ausleihen und es gibt eine Laundry.
Ein weiteres Highlight ist das FrĂŒhstĂŒcksrestaurant The Ruby, das direkt dazugehört und absolut zu empfehlen ist....

âAmazing location, close to everything and walkable. Lots of old world charm and very nice staff. Don't book this place if you don't want to adhere to their dress code -- they make it very clear, and it's part of the charm.
The breakfasts and dinner we had at the restaurant were even better than expected. Some of the rooms have been redone, and so have not, so there is a variety of quality there. If you can splurge for the harbor view, it's lovely. May want to ask if the room you'll be...
