The individual on site didn't know much about maintenance. Our door lock didn't latch at all and that was totally understandable for such an old building. “Silver Gate Lodging is located only 2-3 miles from the NE entrance to Yellowstone. The room has been remodeled and was comfortable. The property manager greeted us promptly at the counter in the General Store. She gave us a quick rundown of other businesses nearby for food, coffee, etc. She offered free internet while sitting on the General Store front porch. The other guests were very friendly with a community type atmosphere around the fire pit. The Log Cabin Cafe across the road is delicious...

"Good premises, well kept, clean and nice. Good location close to Interstate 90. However, the heating fan goes on and off all the time. And when it starts, it sounds like large vehicle enters the room. I.e. You have to be really tired to fall asleep. Finally, the wifi is lousy. Probably the worst I have experienced i 20 years."
