“Fantastic size and cleanliness with plenty of supplies (milk, tea, coffee, fruit, cleaning products) provided. Staff would assist with anything uncluding washing up and laundry, so not really "self-catering" if you wish. Note: parys of road can be rough depending on rainfall so I would not use a sedan, but at least a light SUV. ”

“We really enjoyed our New Year's stay with Ronelle at our "Pretty Piggy" cottage at Forellenhof Guest Farm. We stayed there over the New Year's period and Ronelle was fantastic in recommending places we could visit to celebrate New Year's. We ended up staying at home and watching the fireworks over Wakkerstroom from our veranda. What fun! Thank you, Ronelle. “We had a marvellous time at Caracal Lodge. It was a wonderful away from it all experience. Magtree Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped even though there is no electricity, power being supplied by gas appliances, paraffin lamps and LED lighting. It was magical to wake up with views of the resident giraffe family as well as zebra, impala, horses and a pet pig! Outside there was a braai, fire pit in a lovely shaded area and a small pond. Exploring the 300 hectare game park there...

Hvis man tager den første afkørsel fra N4 er det bedre, men det virker mere naturligt at tage den anden hvor bynavnet står og så er det svært at finde uden gps. De ville også have penge selvom hotel.com havde givet kvittering for betaling. De ville have at man brugte booking.com. Til sidst fandt de dog ud af at værelset var betalt og vi fik et bedre end det først angivne værelse. Det opfatter jeg lidt...

“This is a rustic camp. I stayed at one of the tent cabins. I loved the quiet, solitude and being in the trees. I woke up to birds chirping in the morning and numerous animal noises throughout the day and night with the occasional monkey jumping on the roof. I enjoyed the camping vibe that added to my Africa stay. Andre was a excellent host and helped arrange day trips. My only issue was hot water and I believe Andre fixed that issue.”

“The cleaning at this property is done superficially. They need to do a deep clean as there is dirt in the corners, smell from the sheets and blanket, dust on applicances and slime in the kettle. There was a service door to the bathroom which isn't itself a problem, but I could smell cigarette smoke coming through every so often in the morning.”

There was a small fridge in the room, which was great, but there was no bottled water in the room and we had been told not to drink the tap water. The bathroom especially, was very poor - it had cracked tiles in the shower and weak water pressure, no shelves for toiletries, and the cistern took forever to fill up. We...

“We had a great stay. Useful information was provided before our stay to ensure our preparedness. Accommodation was spacious and clean. There were no issues collecting our keys and the caretaker was really helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay again ”
