âRoom clean. Staff friendly, some supply issues for breakfast but able to be accommodating. Room quite hot and road a bit noisy but nothing we couldnât cope with. â
âWas allowed yo check in early then we could get on with our day.The room was lovely and very clean. The breakfast hamper was amazing everything in it was fresh and well presented.â
âThe hotel staff were lovely, we were upgraded to a deluxe room with a hot tub, as it was my partners 50th birthday. Also a lovely touch, a bottle of prosecco waiting in the room with a card.

âLovely deluxe room with balcony and views over the grounds and river Tees, at a very reasonable price. The bar seemed short-staffed, leading to having to wait a while for service sometimes (not a reflection on the staff themselves, who were helpful and efficient).â

âWe are returning to this stunning hotel for the 3rd time and love it here. Great service from staff they were able to give us a double room after we booked twin room available via hotels.com which was great.
The food is amazing, fish and chips is a definite go to, and 2nd night we had a 3 course meal closer to fine dining with famtastic quality.
Spa services were great we used both pool and steam room which work perfectly to feel fully relaxed. I have used the gym facilities in the past and...
âExcellent stop especially for dogs they know what they have to do with dogs ie hard floors so they can clean thoroughly. They think of everything a dog needs even towels at the door for raining days â
âA five star property and staff â some of the best food weâve ever had traveling, and here it is in the Yorkshire Dales! Friendly, helpful staff to a person, every shift, every position. The historic manor house buildings are beautiful, tastefully updated to allow a glass-walled dining wing that looks out over the rolling green hills. Itâs a stunning setting.
The bedroom is the only shortcoming. Peer facilities might offer visitors pillows of various stiffness to accommodate different sleepersâ...
âFabulous recent 2 nights stay at the Black Swan Inn . Food was excellent and the staff were friendly and very efficient . Our room was a lovely large space and a very big king sized bed which was extremely comfortable . We will definitely return . â

âGenerally very good stay. Landlady made me feel at home and lent me a parking disc which gave me free parking until 10.00am the next morning.
Very nice cooked breakfast with cereal and proper coffee.
Only small issue was that the curtains let in more street lamp light than I'm used to. Blackout curtains would have been ideal.â

"Lovely place in a lovely city. Really friendly staff and the breakfast was a very nice touch! Would recommend anyone who wants a good place for the money. Also a cheap parking lot closeby (2.5 pounds between 18 and 9 which is good for people who want to go to lake district wit car)"
