Peace and quiet, beautiful log cabin, great firepit area, critters up close you got to watch, ships to watch go by within a real short distance and owner's who made us feel like friends. So good a stay our son and grandkids asked if we could do it again every year! Thanks for making our vacation wonderful!”

“Your home was beautiful. Wish we had more time there. Thank you for opening it up to us. We got in late and ordered food from a nearby sub shop. The sandwiches were delicious and we sat outside on the back and ate those and overlooked the lake. By far the best place up in the that may have been to. Thank you again”

“Property was a ways from town and had to take a ferry to get there, but my fault for not reading description carefully. Cabin was exceptionally clean and very well stocked towels, bedding, cooking accessories. Owner responded in a timely manner.”

“My partner, dog and I came to sugar island to experience a new place in the UP and we will certainly be returning to Sweet Retreat!! Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We can’t wait to come back!”
