Just a note that once on the island there is only one bar that serves food, and one nice little store that has a good variety of necessities, so plan accordingly.”

“Did we enjoy our stay? Yes Would we like to stay there again? Yes But the cabin may not be for everyone. Others have commented on deferred maintenance, and you may find window-coverings/windows/window locks that don't work well or at all, flaking paint on the bathroom ceiling, duct tape on the floor, or shaky railings outside. “Our family of nine vacationed for a week. Fantastic time, enjoyed the property. Plenty to do without leaving-basketball, swimming, fire pit, sun rises, canoeing, simply relaxing! But, close enough to take a couple day trips. (We went to Mackinac City and Tahquamenon Falls)The hosts were amazing! Always around and a pleasure to sit and talk with.”

“We loved our fall getaway at this adorable cabin. The fall colors were gorgeous and the weather couldn't have been better! Sunny and cool temperatures so we could explore the area comfortably as a family with our 2 dogs. We especially loved seeing the freighters lumber past the cabin- our favorite times were lounging on the huge porch early in the morning and late at night when the lights from the freighters drifted past. “Rustic cabin on Lake Huron. Less expensive than lots of other nearby places. Has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Hot water is iffy, hook and eye locks only. 2 bedroom cabin with small kitchen and bathroom just feet from the lake. ”

Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. “This was a girls weekend for my mom, her sister and my friend. The property is very nice and there is a nice place to sit where you can watch the boats pass by. The large picture window in the living room is also great for this. The seating in the living room is great for relaxing and visiting. Appreciated the timely and clear communication with the host.”

“We loved the house and all of its charm. The view was amazing. Loved watching the freighters on their way to/from the Locks. We were there during both hot days (85) & cold (40). The ceiling fans kept the place very comfortable during the heat & the furnace kept us cozy when the weather turned. Great location with an amazing view! Convenient to gas, places to eat, groceries, and more. Host was responsive & helpful. We would love to return again!”
