The location was perfect, right by The Roaches, great for walks from the door step and close by to other amazing locations in the Peak District. “The cottage was lovely, comfortable, private and super clean. . Local amenities were just steps away, as the cottage is situated in a quiet alleyway just off the High Street.. Days out options are good. We enjoyed visiting the Churnet Valley Railway for a cream tea experience. We also visited the nearby Peak District, which is beautiful. “Fantastic property in a lovely location. Would certainly recommend and stay again. Unfortunately our booking did not seem to have been communicated to the manager and as such the room we had booked was not available. They did mange to host us in an alternate room for the first night of our stay and we moved into the run we had booked for the second night. Both Rooney were perfect however the uncertainty was slightly stressful after a long drive with a 13 month old baby”

“The location is close to many white peak walks. The accommodation is very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen and two bathrooms with powerful showers. Jo, the owner welcomed on arrival and was incredibly helpful when we needed her advice. Will certainly look to visit again”

“The property is lovely, plenty of room for me, my mother and my dog. Pauline goes above with lovely extras incluidng eggs, milk ankd cake. Home made biscuits, plenty of towels and bowls for the dog. Quiet location with 2 large fields for dogs to run free and secure. Just a short drive to leek. I will definitely stay again.”

“Lovely place to stay, right next to some stunning walks, and some that are a short drive away. Would recommend taking slippers as the floor is tile downstairs and gets cold and slightly damp in evenings. The cottage itself is lovely and cosy when warmed up, extra blankets were also provided making it a bit cosier. We visited Thor's Cave which was a stunning walk with views at the top, and there's a little tearoom nearby. That's only a 10 minute drive away from the cottage! If you have the...
