“I recommend Tuani Lodge for nature lovers and those looking for a cabin-in-the-jungle experience. The road to get to the lodge is very dark, poorly marked, bumpy and uneven so a vehicle with 4-wheel drive and a lot of clearance would be best. We got a small bit of damage from driving in our small SUV. That being said, once you're on the highway it is not far from town and it is a very cool experience feeling so remote and close to nature. This is not the place for you if you are scared of bugs...

“Come here for authentic Nicaraguan lifestyle. Simple bedrooms, cold showers and Mom's cooking. Mark is very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Mark hosts every meal and invited guides to inform us about hiking the volcanoes and arranged a 4-wheeler to come directly to the hostel which was very convient. Don't stay here if you are expecting luxury. Property is conviently located near Altagracia but removed enough from the tourist scene. Three adoabrle kittys made it even to harder to leave this...
