It sits in a beautiful small town called Belleview.IA with lots of parks and access to the river and tons of shops and diners just a short walk away. Although the staff is off site they are super friendly, honest and pretty knowledgeable about the area which is great for first time visitors. “The pool area is great (9ft deep at one end!) and unique (under an attrium) but the chlorine smell in the rooms around that area is STRONG. I would have preferred that to what our other room smelled like -- the pungent odor of it being a formerly smoking room. Because the hotel is very popular and was very busy we did not request a different room as I am not sure there would have been any alternatives that just smelled neutral (like nothing) or "fresh" or whatever. Generally everything was fine...
