Palmwood Villas - New "Our Place, By the Sea"

Summary:
Sit back and relax. Watch the sunrise and make those lasting memories. Enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon beverage on the balcony overlooking the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean. This condo is direct ocean front. The complex has a heated community pool with lounge chairs, BBQ area and picnic tables for you to use. Conveniently located to many attractions that the Grand Strand has to offer for restaurants, shopping, entertainment and much more. This unit is not pet friendly per the HOA!

The Space:
This second floor, corner unit has a full kitchen, dining room, breakfast bar and living room. Kitchen is equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher. As well as basic kitchen utensils. Ocean front bedroom has a queen bed and second bedroom has two queen bunk beds. Main bath has walk in shower, second bath has tub/shower combination. Washer/Dryer inside the unit. This unit is not pet friendly per the HOA!

Located on 24th Ave South in Crescent Beach section of NMB.
Area restaurants -We have a few favorites: $$$ Greg Norman Australian Grill, Clark's Seafood and Chop House, The Parson's Table, The Oyster Rock Waterfront Seafood, Rioz NMB $$ LuLu's NMB, Cooper's Tavern, Captain Archie's, Boardwalk Billys, Buoys On The Boulevard, Casa Villa $ Hoskins Restaurant, The Shack, Basil's Pizza, Gino's NY Style Pizzeria, Duck Dive Bar & Grill, Hamburger Joe's.

Getting Around:
Vehicles continue to be the primary form of transportation in North Myrtle Beach, but a guest could use Uber-Lyft or choose to bike or walk. However biking and walking would limit your dining and activities.

Other Things to Note:
The renter agrees to Hold Eagle Beach Rentals' employees and unit owners harmless for any accident, damage, or lost/stolen items that may occur during renter occupancy. The renter further agrees to comply with the resort's conditions, regulation and rules. Renters must be 25 years of age to book our properties.This unit is not pet friendly per the HOA!
This is a non-smoking property and all guest rooms are non-smoking. Smoking in the rooms will result in a cleaning fee of $250.00 USD

Interaction with Guests:
Hosts are located in North Myrtle Beach and are available to help when needed, however we will respect your privacy.

âž»Stay Dates: July 3rd – July 6thUpon checking in on July 3rd, I immediately inspected the room as I always do when traveling. Unfortunately, I noticed a strong mildew/mold odor right away. I also discovered that the AC unit wasn’t working. I went straight to the main office and spoke with Sherri, who assured me the issues would be addressed promptly.Someone did come by and sprayed Clorox on some of the affected areas, but not all. I was told an AC technician would be out soon; however, they didn’t arrive until Saturday evening around 4:30–5:00 PM. At that point, the technician informed us the AC unit was severely damaged and beyond repair—still leaving us without functioning air conditioning during the entirety of our stay.The next morning, a tropical storm rolled in. Water began blowing in through the broken AC unit, soaking the curtains and floor. It was an incredibly uncomfortable and frustrating experience.While the listing appeared appealing online, the actual stay was far from what we expected. The most disappointing part was that, after reporting the issues, I asked if we could be moved to another unit or offered any alternative. I was told nothing else was available—yet I saw additional listings on VRBO that appeared open.I’ve attached photos and videos for reference. I genuinely hope this feedback helps improve future guest experiences.
