“Had room 406 on the top floor with a sea view and plenty of space. Reasonably quite room with minimal noise from vehicles in the street. Good views out to sea. The floor slightly slopes in parts. Breakfast was included and provided a good range of food. At times it was very busy and there were the occasional short delays whilst items were re-stocked. We ate dinner in the Braserie 3 times and it was good quality. Would recommend the Empress.”

“Location is approx 50 mtrs off the main promenade. Attentive friendly staff keen to help in any way they can. Room was generously sized with couch and desk area. Entire property including breakfast area and lounge bar is well maintained. Lift to upper floors. Well appointed ensuite bathroom. Good choice of breakfast available - traditional hot and continental options. Parking is available 'on street' but not always easy to find space. Hotel is close to bus stops.Good value for money.”

“The breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. Good enough location. Those are the positive things. But I got a room in a neighbour hotel, apparently owned by same owner. Third floor, no elevator. “From the front desk through the rest of the property, everyone was exceptional. I’m very grateful for the experience I had there. Tim and Claire at the front desk were great and the staff serving drink and food were very accommodating and kind.
