Under eight kilometres north of Omiš, Villa Kalma offers a serene retreat with stunning countryside views, while still being close to the adrenaline-pumping activities of Croatia’s adventure capital. This stylish, Dalmatian-style villa accommodates up to 10 guests and is ideal for families, featuring a large heated pool, a 5-person hot tub, and a Finnish sauna.

Set in the peaceful Gata area, Villa Kalma’s outdoor space is perfect for relaxation and entertainment, with a covered dining area, barbecue, and children’s playground. Inside, the air-conditioned open-plan living area is bright and modern, with comfortable seating, a widescreen TV, and dining space for eight. The well-equipped kitchen includes a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, and microwave.

Three king-size en suite bedrooms upstairs and a twin room downstairs sleeps eight guests, with a sofa bed available for two more. There’s also a cot for a baby and an additional bathroom on the lower floor. Nearby Omiš is packed with character and thrills, from pirate history and canyon rafting to zip-lines and diving. The historic town also offers excellent restaurants and bars, with vibrant Split just a 25km drive away.

Location:

Omiš, a historic town on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast, lies just twenty-five kilometres from Split and is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and dramatic mountains. Known for its pirate history and medieval fortresses, it also offers stunning beaches and a vibrant water-sports scene, thanks to its position on the River Cetina.

Adventure seekers flock here for canyoning, rafting, canoeing, and zip-lining across the canyon, while the nearby mountains appeal to hikers and paragliders. Families can relax on Velika Plaza’s sandy stretch in the town centre, or visit the nearby pebble beaches of Brzet and Slavinj. Further along the coast, Blue Flag beaches toward Makarska or Split provide even more options, along with island-hopping excursions to Brač, Hvar, and Šolta.

Omiš is also rich in culture. Climb to the Mirabella or Starigrad fortresses for panoramic views, or visit the Mila Gojsalič statue viewpoint. The town’s pirate past is brought to life with summer events like Pirate Night and Pirate Weekend, perfect for families. For a slower pace, head to St Michael’s Square for relaxed cafés and dining.
