âThe rooms were very spacious and clean. The breakfast was great and the dining area was clean. The outside is also clean. I recommend this hotel for families. â
âClean room but with a slightly musty smell. We could hear the people sitting downstairs even though they were not terribly loud. Chinatown LA wasnât very nice in comparison with others and mainly seemed like a run-down part of LA. Low score for environmental friendliness due to plastic cutlery etc at breakfast. Breakfast was served in a little side room -not too cozy but serviceable. â

âI like the concept of the virtual lobby, except for when the access code stopped working and no one was on site. I donât have a U.S. phone number, so calling for help was very expensive, but I had no choice.
The property itself is modern and generally well-maintained, but the cleaning staff tends to slack off. They donât clean the corners of the floors, leave hair in the shower, and donât properly clean the toilet and the sink.
Itâs a shame, because the place really has potential. Great...
âThe staff was lovely and helpful, and I could easily check in earlier without any issues. The facility is a bit dated, but everything was clean and well-maintained. The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear some noise, but itâs not too disruptive. The area is safe and pleasant. The breakfast wasnât particularly impressive; most of the food was semi-finished products, except for the fresh fruit. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. â

Vi fick anvÀnda en pool pÄ ett annat hotell men det Àr obekvÀmt att gÄ ivÀg för ett bad. Fick Àven 35 dollar rabatt per natt sÄ vi fick kompensation men hade velat ha informationen innan incheckningen för att kunna vÀlja ett annat hotell."
"Quite expensive but we had a really nice stay so it was worth it. On our long trip thru cali this was the only hotel who lived up to the expectations. Close to the arena otherwise not much to do or see downtown LA imo. Wouldve loved to stay for more days!"
"Really nice hotel but canât really see why anyone would like to stay in this part of LA unless your doing business in downtown or have friends to visit there like I had. Downtown LA is not a place to be for tourists if you want to see the best of LA. I felt completely safe though on hotel premises, in my single room I had a safe for my valuables and during day time it is of course safe to walk around on the streets nearby but of course keep out/away from the Skid Row area with all the tents. The homeless people are nice and I never felt threatened but look ahead where you are going on the streets and donât look down into your phone.
Single room with a skyview at almost the top but a 13 floor building wonât give so much skyview at all in downtown LA.
Some reviewers here have praised the shower, I looked into my shower and thought thatâs just a regular shower head but OMG that water pressure was superb!
So I am still recommending this hotel for anyone having a purpose to visit downtown LA (not just random touristing of LA) or a romantic getaway where you want to stay in and old fashioned hotel, enjoy the rooftop bar and going by taxi to a restaurant at the evening when it is dark outside (avoid walking when it is dark!).
The tiles in the bathrooms of my single room was really beautiful and the bed just perfect.
So this hotel canât do much about its surroundings but the historic elevators could get some more love by hotel management.
