Välkommen till Kai Malie, ett underbart fritidshus! Detta bekväma hem ligger på östra sidan av Big Island. Vakna ta ditt kaffe och gå 10 minuter till 2 oceanfront parker för att titta på soluppgången och titta på valar!

Det finns gott om äventyr i närheten. Gå in i den pittoreska staden Pahoa där du hittar några bra restauranger och affärer med mycket aloha-anda.

Volcano National Park ligger 42 kilometer bort. Planera att spendera en dagsutforskning.

Reser till Hilo för vattenfall som Rainbow, Akaka och Peepee. Besök Pacific Tsunami Museum, Lyman Mission House, Imiloa Astronomy Center. Se vad som visas på Palace Theatre. Hämta färskvaror, hantverk och souvenirer på Hilo Farmers Market. Det finns också en golfbana i Hilo och flera badstränder. Besök Richardson Beach, Coconut Island och vackra Queen Liliuokalani Gardens.

Reser upp Hamakua-kusten till Waipio Valley Lookout och var noga med att stanna i Honokaa stad för att plocka upp speciella Hawaii-gjorda varor och raka is självklart!

Ta en dag och åka till West Side. Kajak i Captain Cook Bay, ta en surf lektion, besök tillflyktsortet. Det finns också flera vackra vita sandstränder som väntar på dig.

Hemmet är utrustat med kabel-TV, Blu ray / DVD-spelare med internetuppkoppling, vissa dvd-skivor och böcker. Bad, kökshanddukar och sängkläder tillhandahålls. Köket är välfyllt med alla redskap, porslin och apparater för att förbereda dina måltider. Det finns en gasgrill och utemöbler. Och för dina dagliga äventyr hittar du 5 snorklinguppsättningar, strandhanddukar, mattor, vikstolar, kylare, 2 boogiebrädor och flytande nudlar!   • In 1790 a swift moving lava flow leveled the forest here and drained away, leaving behind a new forest of "lava trees". These hollow rock columns were formed when the lava wrapped around the cool tree trunks and quickly solidified. When the molten lava drained away, these rock columns were left standing. The columns are hollow because the tree trunks themselves were incinerated during the process, but only after the rock had cooled enough to hold it's shape. If you look closely, you can sometimes see the texture of the tree bark in the rock molds.

The host called about 2 minutes after we arrived because we were delayed and she was concerned that everything was okay. The property was surrounded on 3 sides with rainforest with a paved road in front - seclusion without being isolated with neighbors just beyond the lush growth. the home itself was very comfortable with tasteful decor without being overdone, nothing to trip over or knock over. Listening to the coqui frogs through the night was a treat. We enjoyed the sound of the waves also. We would do it all over again.

Amazing area. Was able to walk to a beautiful small park on the ocean. Short ride to volcano National park. Washer and dryer came in handy. Clothesline and pins came in handy for my delicate items. Maku’u market on Sunday a short distance was a real find. You need to visit black sand beaches. Rochelle was quick to respond to any requests.

We enjoyed Kai Malie, walking the neighborhood was both relaxing and beautiful. Our uncle lives in Pahoa, so this was a perfect location for meeting up with him and having our own personal space. The house was comfortable and inviting, with adequate cooking facilities and plenty of room to relax. Rochelle & Ted were quick to respond to questions/issues. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Home Sweet Home

This is an amazing place and location! A quiet neighborhood. It seems like there is no one around you because of all the beautiful vegetation. Didn't want to leave. Actually stayed an extra day. Looking forward to return someday soon.

An oasis but far from amenities

We loved the quietness of the location, and a walk to the ocean. Its cliffs so no water access but nice views. They have cameras for security which was a bit disconcerting, but the location was quiet and off the beaten path. It was an hour drive to Hilo and about 50 min to the Volcano National Park. The host and the local contact were responsive and great to connect with. All in all a great respite and vacation. Their added touches were a wonderful addition.

House by the beaches

The house and everything in it needed a good cleaning. We had to wash dishes before we could use them. (Food still on them) Kitchen light would not stay on and the Dan in the smaller bedroom would not come on the light worked but not the fan. Would not stay here again

Perfect getaway location!

My husband decided to take me to Hawaii this year for my birthday & I must say the home & island he picked out was perfect. The home was in a great quiet & beautiful neighborhood. There was so much to do on the big island that after being out all day, it was so nice being able to go back to a house that was clean, in a great location & was in a very quiet neighborhood. We spoke with the on island property manager twice regarding questions & she was so helpful. If you’re thinking of visiting the big island, definitely consider this home for your stay!

Relaxing and Quiet

This property is a beautiful place to stay. There is a wonderful yard. You can walk to the ocean from the property and see the sea turtles every day. It is very relaxing and quiet here. The lanai is a wonderful place to sit and relax. Will come again to this property. This was already our second time staying here.

East side vacation

We really enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. It was a very peaceful location and nice to be such a short walk to the beautiful coast. My only suggestion would be to not have to drop off garbage at the end of the stay. Thanks.
