“The villa was a beautiful home to send our our time in Tuscany, Italy. We enjoyed having our own bedrooms and baths. We had a special meal cooked by a local chef, Rachel. The kitchen worked well for the cooking, and for our breakfasts. The scenery was just breathtaking, and it is just as pictures in books looked like. We very much enjoyed our stay.”

“The property was absolutely charming. It really had that homey, Italian, Tuscan charm about it. The kids and my husband loved it too. I wish I had planned for more days there. We didn’t have time to partake in the cooking class or truffle hunting, but I guess that just leaves a reason to come back. The location was great too because it’s in the country away from the busy cities, but a close enough drive to all the various Tuscan sites.The owners were very nice and spoke good enough English....

“A perfect villa for a large family. The air conditioning in the upstairs and first floor sleeping areas worked very well. There is no AC in the basement sleeping area or the common areas, but they remained relatively cool. The outdoor area has a great pool, patio, and olive grove/garden. The location is very secure and within easy driving of pretty much anywhere you may want to visit in Tuscany. Do yourself a favor and avoid booking through VRBO. They will charge you hundreds of dollars in fees...

“We had a great 2 week stay in the villa, 2 families with teens and a three year old. The villa was perfect, really great to have all the bedrooms of similar (big) size, aircon and their own bathroom, worked really well with teenagers.The pool was beautifully clean and really well maintained, as was the surrounding garden. "Only there for a short stay, 1 night and we arrived very late. Had contacts with the receptionist which was very helpful. When we arrived later than anticipated it wasn’t a problem at all, reception open 24/7 and the late night shift was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately we only stayed for 1 night but from what reception we got I would look forward to stay there again in the future. They were helpful to give us breakfast to go for our next destination. "

Villa Madrè San Rossore Apartments

"Clean, new apartment within okay walking distance to Pisa. However very shady experience as we believe someone was scouting the apartment one early morning. Got woken up and heard lots of noises inside then someone opening the door. You get an unique code for your stay to access the building and apartment, but if you can just turn a breaker to disable the lock completely (which we believe is what happened) then it's not really safe. Even more as there is no way to physically lock the door. There is also a security guard at the reception but most of the time he is not there or asleep. He doesn't speak a word in English or Italian, was supposed to check our passports to match the names to the room but he kept calling us a completely wrong name which feels mission impossible as our names are on the passports he is reading from... It's sad as the place has much potential but if we cannot feel safe in our rooms I would never recommend anyone else to stay there."

"Det var rent, svalt och bekvämt rum. Lite svårt att förstå på sidan att man inte kunde gå från flygplatsen till hotellet. Och det var lite svårt att få incheckningsdetaljer för sen incheckning vi fick ringa 4ggr innan vi kom till en person som då snabbt hjälpte oss."
