This is the first time we've done a staycation and the first time we've booked via vrbo. A very last minute booking! we essentially booked the cottage on the basis of on-line photographs, location and other people's reviews. We were more than pleasantly surprised, it really felt like going from home to home, the cottage was immaculate, plenty of space for a family with 3 teenage children. The beds were comfortable and most nights were spent in the open plan kitchen/dining area which was a really nice space for chilling out, playing cards and enjoying some quality family time. As the weather was warm we were also able to spend time in the outside patio area. The kitchen is exceptionally equipped and plenty of storage space. In terms of its location, the cottage was ideal, it was a pleasant 10-15 minute walk down to Mousehole itself. Whilst the road is directly to the front of the property, it is relatively quiet in terms of traffic. Whilst there is an informal dedicated parking space in the adjacent car park, we managed to park along the road, just up from the cottage, most nights, which made it easier to access the cottage. As hosts, Matt and Steph were great, plenty of communication before hand and clear instructions for parking, keys, etc. They also provided us with great recommendations for eating out and also recommendations for the beast beaches to visit, which we greatly appreciated.
