As a haven for wildlife, it’s also ideal for spotting majestic birds overhead, including a wide variety of birds of prey. When it’s time to venture off-site, you’ll find a host of appealing towns and tourist spots just a short drive away. While swimming isn’t permitted in the on-site lakes, you can enjoy an outdoor dip at the lido in nearby Bourne (7.5 miles), your closest town. Visit Stamford (10 miles), a town packed with quaint streets and independent shops. On the outskirts of Stamford, Burghley House (11 miles). Visit Peterborough (12.5 miles), a historic city home to a towering cathedral, a wealth of shops and restaurants, and scenic riverside walks along the Nene.
Each lakeside lodge on this peaceful site features a traditional curved silhouette and wooden panelling, creating an attractive and inviting base to call your own. Enter through French doors into the studio-style accommodation and make yourself at home. This open-plan space is designed with comfort in mind, with compact amenities and a clever layout ensuring there’s plenty of room to relax. On one side of the room, a two-person sofa bed is positioned opposite a Smart TV, with a pared-back but well-appointed kitchenette just next to it. At the other end, a double bed dressed in soft linens offers a cosy retreat at the end of the day. The property is fully insulated and heated to ensure year-round warmth and comfort. A modern en-suite shower room completes the interior.
Directly outside, a generous patio area includes everything you need to enjoy the outdoors. Uninterrupted views of the lake can be taken in from the comfortable seating or while soaking in your private hot tub. When the temperature drops, a fire pit provides a warm and ambient glow. Your fishing peg is right here – just steps from your front door. A private parking space for one car is also included.
