“I had no idea Caseville was such a Margaritaville town!! So much fun! Good food, really neat and unique shops, and great sunsets! I loved my stay in Caseville, and Sunset Shanty was a great place to call home for a few days. Very comfortable, all the amenities, fun decor, very clean, convenient location. My friend and I had a very nice, and fun, stay!!”

“A group of moms stayed here for a RUNcation. We participated in the Thumb Coast Ultra Relay and this rental was steps from the beach and finish line. Great views and a cute aesthetic!”

“Clean, cute and cozy. Weather prevented us from using the fire pit but looked like a nice set up. Had some questions for owner and she answered right away. The only complaint would be the sulfur smelling water.”

“We have friends that stay in the Caseville County park, so we always plan a weekend trip to meet up and catch up. Not only was this home perfectly located for our needs (near to beach, putt putt, dining), but it was so unique and beautiful. Everything was a described in the listing, but better in person. Plus you can see it is being renovated to add even more space to the basement, it will be exciting to see when we come back again next year, because we definitely plan to stay here again....

“The house was very clean and cozy for the two of us. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we could have wanted. We would recommend it to others looking for a quiet getaway or small families looking for a great beach area. If we could make one suggestion it would be to have the patio and walkways power washed in the spring. The patio and waterfront are what attracted us to the property, but it could have used a little sprucing to make it absolutely perfect. For those who have...

“We stayed here to run the Thumb Coast Ultra and Relay. It was comfortable, clean, and the location was excellent. The pictures don’t do it justice! Checking in and out couldn’t have been easier. You’re minutes from Caseville (gas, groceries, restaurants), right on the beach. The beds were comfortable, the furniture in the sitting areas was great (which is not often my experience at other rentals). The shot was communicative and helpful. “The location of this home as well as the home itself is more than perfect for enjoying Port Austin and the surrounding area. The host just needs to be a bit more aware of securing her personal belongings so the home is more "welcoming" to those renting it for their vacation. Overall, though, it was a great weekend.”

We're 64 & 65 years old and would have preferred recliner chairs or another couch so we could both lay down and stretch out at the end of a long day of shopping, hiking and kayaking.
