The Space:

Every aspect of this comfortable 3 BR / 2.5 BA beach cottage has been designed with guests in mind- From the bright and open spaces to the brand new kitchen to the walk in shower and jacuzzi tub, all to maximize the fun you will have on your next trip to The Southern Mermaid Cottage! Additionally, guests of Southern Mermaid Cottage will be among the first to enjoy the new addition to this fantastic home: a large heated swimming pool!



With respect to the space itself, Southern Mermaid Cottage features a large master bedroom with King bed and en-suite bathroom, complete with a large desk perfect for those that need to plug in and work during their stay. The guest bedroom features a queen bed and the guest bathroom features a jacuzzi tub. The second guest bedroom features comfy twin beds perfect for sleeping overflow guests or children. Finally, a separate sitting area with pullout sofa has been included to accommodate for even more guests. In total, this home comfortably sleeps a party of 8.



In terms of the kitchen, culinary connoisseurs will need not compromise to cook the perfect meal when staying at this home, as they will find among other things an air fryer, a slow cooker and a griddle as well as dining service for 12. The dining table is conveniently attached to the kitchen area, ensuring for an easy and fun dining experience for the whole family.



For those animal lovers among us, the spacious backyard area is fully fenced-in, ideal for your four legged friend to run around and play within. An additional seating area is featured adjacent to the brand new outdoor grill, making the backyard perfect for get togethers among family and friends. Guest Access:

Guests have access to the whole home, pool and backyard area. In addition, guests will have access to top of the line beachgear and bikes to use during their stay.



The Neighborhood:

This beach cottage is conveniently located halfway between Port St Joe and Mexico Beach, walk or bike to nearby shopping and dining. Shipwreck Raw bar is only 2 streets over. The beach is located at the end of the street, 800 ft from the property.



Getting Around:

We recommend car or bikes.



Other Things to Note:

Guests must complete a rental agreement prior to checking in.

Guests must pay a $30/day pool heating fee if they wish the pool to be heated during their stay.

A non-refundable cancellation fee of $100 will apply for reservations cancelled prior to the cancellation policy window. This fee covers our credit card processing fees on a refunded deposit payment.



Interaction with Guests:

We are available as often as needed, but do manage the property remotely. As a result, we will expect guests to be self-sufficient when it comes to needs for additional supplies or simple requests that guests can fulfill themselves at nearby convenience or grocery stores.
