“So comfortable and cosy. We stayed in the studio which was clean, had everything you could need and was decorated well. The bed sheets and toiletries smelt amazing. The owners put a lot of care into making sure it was a home from home. They also bought us freshly baked bread and homemade jam, delicious. We loved the poncha bar around the corner, too. Great location, about 10 minutes drive to Porto Moniz and on the route out to the fanal forest”

“Moldy lower level with damp sheets and pillows. Shower has been leaking for years (see Google reviews). Lower level woodstove broken and unusable. Lower level cold and unhealthy therefore, so our daughter slept upstairs, sharing a room with her brother and his wife (with a mattress on the floor). Host provided now, dry sheets for her but not a dry pillow. The nightly scratching/pecking in the ceilings kept us awake. Rats?
