Hotell nära Pow Hill Country Park

“Evening meal was good quality but breakfast is basic. Make sure you have a key to access the pub after hours!”

“A change of plans took me to Hexham and the Beaumont hotel for what was to be a very pleasant experience. Arrived two hours early and was only looking to store my bagage as I fully expected to be asked to wait until regular check-in was open. Instead the hotel went the extra mile and had my room ready in a bit more than half an hour. And the Abbey and the pleasant park just across the road it was very easy to spend those 30 minutes in relaxing way. I got a spacious twin room on the 1st floor...

“Clean, comfortable, spacious room. Great, helpful staff. Close to bus station, restaurants, stores, boutiques, and four-FOUR charity shops! :) (Parking is confusing, however. Park in the nearby city lot in a space with WHITE borders-otherwise you may have to pay.)”

“Sometime awkward that no one on reception all the time”

“A good impression on arrival as you drive to the front door. There are a few appointed disability parking spaces but there is additional space that can be used providing it does not limit the thoroughfare. A large parking area is nearby but involves a 5 min walk back. Check-in was handled well for our group although dining that night as a group required meals to be pre-selected to help the catering staff. Whist complying with this requirement, the actual meal service was sporadic with some meals...

“Excellent staff very kind and hospitable and very nice pub food and breakfast. LargeTV screen to watch the World Cup and BBC I player to catch up on the highlights, all good.”

“The lady who checked in was so lovely, even took us to our room. Every member of staff asks if you need help finding anything and direct you to were you need to be. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast included in the room stay was 10/10.”

“Room was clean but very cold couldn’t get the underfloor heating to work Breakfast was disappointing plate was oily eggs were overcooked beans were cold as if the were straight out of the tin as was the mushroom and tomato sausages ,bacon ,black pudding and hash brown were lukewarm and didn’t come with toast or fried bread”

“Friendly and good time”

“Room clean and beautifully decorated. Warm, lovely hot shower, large fluffy towels. Staff friendly and helpful. Well positioned in the town and good parking.”

“I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality and spaciousness of my room (10). Staff were friendly and professional; the assistant at breakfast was first rate in supporting a substantial number of guests. And the Craster kippers were excellent. The one thing missing at breakfast was a bowl of fresh fruit. Dinner was well prepared and presented. All in all a very good experience at the Duke of W.”

“Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. ”

“Smooth check in and communication with the host, was met at the cottage and given the keys and information about the village and local area. Rooms where clean, shower is very nice and beds very comfortable. All in all will definitely stay again when back working in the area.”

“Amazing hosts. Super helpful.”

“My stay was amazing, great local country walks and great views. Differently would recommend.”
