I took a chance and booked us a location that was off the touristy spot where all the big hotels were - so glad I did - VUE is a hidden gem. We took to walking around the Hutong neighborhoods right away, my father loved his morning walks in Houhai Park which was right behind the hotel. (some of the staff had difficult with english but they manage anyhow)
The hotel is located in the old town of Beijing, so called Hutong houses.
So symphatic and best of service.

"Good Hotel in Center. Easy to reach by AirportExpress/Subway. Nice and friendly staff,mainly good English. Rooms are a little older but in good and clean condition. Our room on 13th floor had a nice view and the beds were comfortable with a more soft matrass. Breakfast Buffet was fresh and had plenty of choice.
They helped us with booking of a private driver to the Great Wall and cost was cheaper than on the main online sites. Also helped us registrate for Tiananmen, as it has to be done the day before. All in all, we were satisfied."
