Cozy Cottage Great Location

Great cozy cottage in a great location near Commercial St. The cottage was very clean and tidy. Toiletries were great. Loved having off street parking as well. Other guests on property were great and very cooperative when we had to move cards. Easy walk to East and West side restaurants and shops!!

Wonderful PTown, great central location.

Imagine this is a wonderful garden oasis when all blooms, greenery and spring & summer are in full swing! Nice little piece of heaven. We had a rainy late cool, summer weekend and missed it's peak. Next time! Fun weekend offerings all around for a good time!

A slice of heaven in beautiful Provincetown. Sweeter than advertised. Very close to downtown without the hustle and bustle. The property has a great garden we were encouraged to sample as well as a nice area or two to share space outside the fire pit, over morning coffee or even our afternoon charcuterie board. In the driveway we stacked cars so we could all have a space of off street parking and it made for a very nice way to meet all the wonderful neighbors as we all came and went. We will definitely stay here again as the hosts are responsive and accommodating. I give this a 10!

The cottage is quaint and cozy, includes parking, a kitchen with all the cooking and serving necessities you would need, and plenty of seating in the yard to converse with other guests or just sit and appreciate the garden and wildlife (foxes & rabbits). It is quite small though; not much room to move around the Queen size bed in the bedroom, barely enough space for 2 ppl at the kitchen table, and a shower that feels like a standing coffin. All that was somewhat expected when booking... What wasn't expected was the foul odor of dead rodent and an infestation of ants. After pinpointing where the odor was coming from, I told the host what was going on. He told me about having to get the previous guest in the cottage removed as she was unstable, disturbing other guests and had vandalized the property throwing mulch everywhere even hiding it behind the stove which was where i found the smell to be coming from. Paul blamed the housekeeping staff for missing it and had them clean it right away which helped a bit but the smell still lingered throughout the rest of the stay. The ants were on the floors/walls/counters/sink/toilet/shower, everywhere! I could feel them crawling on me at night. I asked Paul for some ant traps and was told they didn't have any but would call pest control for spraying. That never happened during my stay though. I would've bought ant traps and air freshener myself to remedy this, but I expected the host would do more for the $600/night I paid.

Ideal location for FAWC students!

Really, just an ideal setting whatever your reason for visiting Provincetown, but the cottage is but a 5-minute walk to Fine Arts Work Center on Pearl Street. I took a poetry workshop there, and Rose Bud was my sweet abode for the week. It has the magical quality of being absolutely in the center of town and only steps from all kinds of action and amenities (Bradford and Commercial Streets, the town beach) while at the same time being nestled inside a kind of secret garden that offers privacy and seclusion—the perfect nook for writing. The cottage is just as presented: neat, clean, well-appointed, utterly charming. Lots of wonderful natural light. The queen bed in the bedroom, which has just the space to get around all 3 sides of the bed and a comfortable chair in one corner, is very comfortable and made up with nice bed linens, including a duvet with cover that is removed and washed after each guest. The small kitchen has a full size fridge, 4-burner stovetop, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffeemaker and keurig. I prepared almost all of my meals there, with the exception of a couple of evening meals out. The bathroom, like everything else, seems newly appointed and freshly painted. It is very small, my only caveat. I am a fairly small person and really noticed how little room there was to maneuver in there, something to think about if someone in your party is larger. Otherwise, it’s lovely! I will be back for future FAWC courses and hope to stay in Rose Bud again!
