The property was beautiful, however, the service could have been better especially for the price. I was guaranteed an on time check-in which didn't happened. After the late check in, getting settled in i went over the restaurant listed and decided to dine at the Italian restaurant; I was denied entrance due to not having a reservation and even after explaining that I just checked in that day and late due to the room not being ready and that there was no way I could reserve prior to, the staff still didn't care and denied me entrance. I went to the Mexican restaurantand after a 30 minute wait I was able to dine. I wanted to make reservation the next day for one of their top restaurants but I was told that the restaurant is currently closed without an opening date so that was not an option. I also requested for towels and bottled of water to be delivered to my room twice and didn't get them until 24hrs later. There was no joyful entertainment and the night that they did have it, the live band was not very enthusiastic to say the least. I feel that for the price guest pay they should have better service, easier access to all restaurants or get discount for restaurant or services not available since we are paying for an all inclusive stay. The entertainment can definitely be better as well.

First of all i want to say that we did not receive any on the VIP benefits: no room upgrade, not even the early check in. The guaranteed check in was at 3pm, but we got advised that our room is not ready and that they only start to give out the rooms at 3pm, so be prepared to wait till 4pm at least to get the room. There were some other hiccups here and there, but the main thing was the food - horrible buffet - my kids only ate pizza and chicken nuggets all days as even the rice was not cooked properly, no hot pasta with butter that is ready to be served right away, you have to stay in line to ask for it, just to be dumped in hot water and be tastless. Noone was keeping track if they ran out of something, every single day I had to ask for Fruit Loops and cheese pizza and wait for 20 min for it to be brought out. And one last thing, noone is considerate about people with food allergies, not sure why they even bother asking before you enter the buffet: fish and shell fish is everywhere. On the day of our departure there were more seafood than before and I guess it got into something that my older son picked (he has severe allegy on fish and shell fish) as he deleloped severe rush and his face started to swell right after our lunch. We had to stop the taxi to give him medication. Very disappointed.

Nice enough hotel, great pool and the bar/dining staff are very helpful. App doesn’t allow you to book restaurants despite what they say and having to be there at 9am to book for the next day isn’t ideal nor does it encourage spontaneity! Louis at the Celsius poolside bar was great and looked after us all week - look him up when you’re there. Check in was a little slow, one suggestion would be to have an express checkout function. Great that it’s on the beach, always lots of chairs available. We’d come back!

Hotel was very clean and pretty. A lot to say fir staff and customer service Not friendly or helpful Right after we came we requested contact from the manager regarding reservations nobody get bach to us for 2 days. We were able to check out later as confirmed by us by front desk. We were unanle to get back to our room after 12. Running arround ask for help. Nobody even asked us for logging help We were carring heavy baggs from the bulding with no elevator. No smile. No good morning. Even on our reservation we were standing in front of the desk not even acknowledged. Majestic Mirage 10 stars. Only for peple worki g there. Very disappointed. Additionally flight us 3 hours late.

Great property with a beautiful beach and several pools to choose from. Food was plentiful. Poor experience with the dinner reservation process. We could not get reserved times other than 6:30 or before or 9 or later even though restaurants will rarely full.

My stay at Paradisus was great! I was there for my birthday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed my trip as a solo traveler. The resort was very clean, safe, mini bar stocked daily with goodies and drinks. The staff were all very pleasant and nice, although, most staff cleaning and around the grounds didn’t speak much english. I wish there were more food options during the day other than the buffet and included more vegan / vegetarian options. It was difficult finding things to eat other than fruit and salad during the day. The restaurants in the evening were all very good. My favorite was the organic restaurant - Flora! The food was absolutely amazing. Everything was fresh and super tasty. The Asian restaurant would’ve been my second choice. I also wish there had been more activities. Due to it being a busy week when I arrived, my room wasn’t ready so I was upgraded to the adults only side. It was very very quiet lol! There seemed to be hardly any adults until you went down by the pools. The only downside to the upgrade was not being able to experience the restaurants on the adults only side. I had to walk to the other side of the resort to eat at the Buffet which was disappointing. Other than that my stay was very good.

Very disappointed in our stay here. We were giving a room with a bed that had urine and mold stain all over it. Bathrooms didn't have regular doors only barn doors that didn't close properly or lock so no privacy. We were supposed to have a concierge but never got this service. We were only able to eat at one restaurant our entire 7 day stay. Had to resort to the buffet which was not good. Major miscommunication at this resort mainly because no one spoke good english. The property is beautiful beach and sand was amazing but not having meals to eat when we paid for all inclusive was a big problem. We paid $900/night and expected much more from this resort. I do not recommend this resort

I never received my free wine or gift. The charged me full price for my $150 massage when I was told by guest services I am able to use $100 towards my spa treatment. When I had to check out they threatened to make me miss my flight to charge me $150 for my spa service when I was told all I would owe is $50. I demand this money back into the card I had to use or I would have missed my flight….. I would like a refund for the card that was charged. My door was broken when I checked in my safety was at risk and had to wait another day to get another room in which the air conditioning did not work. I was locked out of my room for 3 hours after they did not properly change my room and before someone came to help me. I could not eat anywhere other than one place because all reservations were booked for the day if you didn’t book 2 days ahead I was only there 3 days!!! I would like a percentage of my money back because my experience was not equivalent to the money I paid for this trip!!! Can someone please email me or call me for further assistance!!

We had a great experience at Palma Real. Beautiful resort, nice amenities, nice staff. Only complaint is service - we were supposed to have a welcome bottle upon check in and we did not get it until our last evening despite calling the resort multiple times. Breakfasts were also a bit chaotic but other than that we had a great experience and definitely recommend the resort!

We love our stay at Paradisus Palma Real. The resort is right on the beach, very beautiful and clean. The staffs are friendly. Foods are good, lobsters served at the buffet but they were hiding, we have to ask the chef in order to get lobster . Japanese restaurant needs to improve. The property was absolutely beautiful. The swim up suite was amazing and we loved the pool bars and beach cabanas! I really enjoyed the staff. They were so friendly and accomodating. In particular, our concierge Basilio, Marabel from housekeeping, Yelson our poolside server, Norjandro from Sante were all excellent and added to the positive experience. I loved the spa experience and Denaly was absolutely amazing, best massage I have ever had.

We were a party of 17 spread across 7 rooms. While the property location and aesthetic is great, the challenges are: 1) They do not have hotel shuttle from the airport so you have to haggle for taxi fairs as soon as you get off after a long journey. 2) Please expect a sub par experience if you have not booked directly with them. Thats also a great marketing strategy to get you in thousands of dollars worth of membership. Might suggest you to finance that. 3) While the restaurants have great 5 star aesthetics, food is not of the greatest quality. It is much worse if you are big group size as they will not give you the option of a la carte for "maximum efficiency". Even though this entire group had to individually pay for their room and not under one group discounted deal. 4) they did try to make up for their ineffeciencies after repeated complaining by bringing the menu of one of their Italian theme restaurant but serving in the general buffet place which is outdoor and now my kids who are allergic to mosquitoes are left with huge swellings on their body. 5) Finally, please expect a very sub par drink quality with very limited option. For example, if you are a beer drinker, you wont even get a corona and similar for any alcohol of choice. Again a great marketing strategy to get you in for the expensive membership. While I look forward to visit Punta Cana again, I am not keen to re book to this property or any other hotels under the Melia group. Discl# These are my personal op

The view and property were beautiful and they about where the good part of this review ends. The restaurant reservation system was poor. The staff was not friendly and not helpful in providing advice. The Buffett offerings were ok not 4 star resort quality. Once you did get a reservation at one of the restaurants, you had to wait even though most of the tables were empty. Then once in the reserved restaurant you waited even longer for food. While at least 10 waiters and cooks stood around. It was something out of the ordinary. I’ve never experienced this level of inconsistency from a resort. From arrival at a reservation to leaving took at least 2 hours. Most of that time consists of waiting. Buffet was also a hassle because you had to track down a waiter to get drinks, coffee, water etc. Most tables were not cleaned in a timely fashion and sat with food on them for birds to feed on. Next: trying to sell you in the circle “timeshare.” Our concierge Lisette’s sole purpose was to try to get us to take this circle club timeshare meeting. Not to assist with reservations, excursions, hotel amenities offered. Do not get sucked into this garbage. The resort has exclusive sections where you can’t sit and swim. So that’s the circle club membership. It was completely off putting. The final complaint I have is regarding rooms service picking up the plates of food from the room after asking and requesting in the app. No one shows up so we had dishes piled on the counter.
