Hotel Puerta del Sur
Spacious room, nice view of, and walking access to, some serene wetlands along the river. Good breakfast. Several very good restaurants within walking distance. Across the river from the main part of Valdivia, so traffic was a litle less crazy in the immediate area.

Hotel Melillanca
This is a little out-of-the-way hotel in Valdivia. Not exactly close enough to walk everywhere but it was quiet and the staff was wonderful. The room was clean and we had secure parking. I would stay here again.

Diego De Almagro Valdivia Hotel
Hotel Diego de Almagro is located next to the river with a view towards the naval yards. Great location close to the city center and a lot of options for good food. Breakfast is enough to please a Swede at least.

Beautiful apartment. Good location with a great view. Communication wasn't great-- we received no email with instructions and had a little trouble getting in. Also, we were told we must pay the extra fee (in cash, in the room) even though we paid for the room online ahead of time with our US credit ...

Cabañas el Jardín is an absolute gem! The place was clean and comfortable. The owner, Claudia, is an absolute sweetheart. Very attentive and understanding. The communication was outstanding!!
