“No shops”

“Check in is at a hotel 15mins away and strictly followed the 3pm check in time. There is a shop about a 10min walk away but the actual apartment was not overly clean and the showers not getting hot. No coffee mugs or kettle provided. Unfortunately we booked this place because of the swimming pool that was closed for maintenance but not communicated beforehand.”

“Mysigt hotell med fräscha bungalows! Trevlig personal!

“Stayed at the retreat for our first night in Sabah. A little off the beaten track but offers free shuttlebus to Sepilok (orangutan center). Staff unfortunately not so welcoming, but comfy bed and cool outdoor bathroom :)”

“Simple hotel. But ok for a night or two”

“The place is very worn down and not particularly clean. There’s a strong, unpleasant, and stuffy smell throughout the building. The escape routes in case of fire seem questionable and not clearly marked. Overall, it feels poorly maintained and unsafe. Definitely not a place I would recommend for families with children.”
