Hi Andrew, thanks for your review. We’ve had another guest recently report the smoke alarms going off randomly so we had them cleaned, that obviously hasn’t helped. We have to have them wired in to the mains legally, so we’ve contacted our electrician today & he’s going to be replacing them with a smaller flush to the ceiling model that is more resistant to insects & dust. We hope you managed to walk along the beach to the patrolled swimming area & ocean baths so you could fully enjoy stunning Blackhead Beach. Thanks for staying at Frida’s by the Sea, we aim to keep things simple to help guests really relax & engage with nature.
