“My boyfriend and I stayed at The Menhaden for my birthday, and it was truly an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff incredible. The entire property was spotless — especially our room, which was beautifully maintained and so comfortable. I had one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time. “What a very special place this is. Wilfred and Vida are truly brilliant hosts. When we arrived they sat with us and had a lovely chat about the house and the area, recommended places to eat and provided lots of local intelligence. Tea and coffee is served in the room at 8am followed by a very generous and delicious breakfast. The two of them are a totally charming couple with their great sense of humour, stories and kindness They could give lessons on what true hospitality should be. ”

“We had a wonderful stay. The house was spotless and well appointed with modern fixtures. King bed in Master bedroom plus four additional bedrooms each with a bed slept our gang comfortably. Backyard pergola with settee and hammocks set the relaxing tone for the weekend. Looking forward to booking it again.”
