“Lovely two weeks in the carriage house on the Croton River. Hosts Patrick and Kathryn were attentive and helpful, the area was full of fun adventures for my husband, a cyclist, and me (jogger and kayaker). Swimming in the Croton from the dock was so great, especially on warm days. Kayaking in the Croton was peaceful and full of fun water birds.”

“If rustic charm is on your bucket list, the Kittle House is brimming it….older floorboards, wooden beams, and a copper ceiling in the taproom. There are modern amenities alongside older fixtures….that plumbing (3/4”?) provides a powerful shower! We stayed during the holidays, and the inn was decorated beautifully. Continental breakfast included. This hotel services an area in Westchester that has few options for lodgings. Fortunately, this inn is a wonderful option.”

“We booked the property because our family is growing too large for all of the children and grandchildren to spend the holidays together. The “holiday house” as our 4 year old coined it was the perfect place to spend Christmas and Hanukkah. Large yet cozy and very well appointed. All of our communication with proprietors was prompt and helpful, and they had the driveway salted and plowed within hours of the (very picturesque) snowfall the day before Christmas. I would happily book here again. ”

“This property was perfect for a trip to NYC as it is located 5 minutes from the train station. We were able to take the train to Yankee Stadium and that was about 30 minutes. The train stops right at the stadium! We also took the train into Grand Central then took a short walk to Times Square to catch a Broadway Show. I highly recommend this place! ”

“The property was exactly as described in VRBO; nothing fancy but just fine. The add-on for "insurance" made the unit unnecessarily expensive (in my case anyway). You also might consider adding pasteurized 1/2 & 1/2 that doesn't require refrigeration & dark roast for coffee drinkers to the Keurig cabinet. Many thanks for your thoughtfulness and help. "Some of the staff were very service-oriented. We had an issue with the coffee machine, but they replaced it quickly. The fire alarm also malfunctioned in the morning, but they promptly fixed that too when we requested it. The beds were a bit narrower than we would have preferred, and breakfast is not included. The parking is convenient but costs extra. Stamford is expensive compared to other places, so you get more for your money elsewhere, but it was safe, clean, and overall a good experience."
