âI really enjoy staying at the Comfort Suites (this was my second time there) for concerts at Hampton Coliseum. The location is great with easy access to all kinds of restaurants and shopping, and itâs an easy 20-25 minute drive to the Coliseum. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff is very nice. Itâs also very convenient to fly in and out of Newport News airport. â
âRoom was clean and bed comfortable. The place looked fresh, appeared recently redone. Heads up: a damage deposit of $50 in cash is required, credit card not accepted for damage deposit. So, if you donât have $50 in cash, you will not be able to rent a room. And, when you check out, you have to wait while the manager goes to the room and makes sure there is no damage. â
âI really enjoyed staying here. This was the first time staying in a hotel alone, and I felt very safe. Staff was always around and very helpful. I'm not much of a breakfast person, but they didn't have much options. It was lacking hot food. Other than that, it really was a great stay. Beds were very comfortable.â
âWe stayed in the main house and the accommodations were excellent and staff very friendly. Seems they are just getting established as the liquor license was issued the day of our departure and in house dining was not yet available. Breakfast was top shelf. It is a bit remote and off property activities require a long drive.â
âfirst room we were put in we had to immediately be taken out of and put into another room because of how dirty and miskept it was. there were huge dead worms on the floor. the new room was not much better- no vent in the bathroom and rather than cover the hole in the ceiling there was just a huge hole and spiders and bugs came thru throughout our stay. i would never stay here again. not to mention iâm still to get my security deposit back from my stay.â
âThe hotel had a few positives â check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and I appreciated that management refunded me when I checked out a day early. The location is also convenient, with easy access to I-64 and several restaurants nearby.
However, the downsides outweighed the positives. The breakfast options were very limited, and my room did not feel clean upon arrival. The biggest concern was finding a cockroach in the shower, which was unsettling. I ultimately only stayed here because...
