Located in the Wasena district, this newly renovated historic home offers close proximity to the Roanoke river, mountain trails, downtown, the Grandin area & more. Walk across the street for a uniquely crafted beverage at RND Coffee or treat yourself to dinner & a cocktail at Bloom wine & tapas just next door.



The Space:

You are renting one of four unique private apartments. Each themed differently with relevance to the Roanoke area & its' history. Updated from top to bottom, you will have the modern comforts of wi-fi, smart TV, new appliances & keyless access all with the historic charm this 1930s home effortlessly boasts.



Guest Access:

This property is 100% self check in at all hours of the day. We use smart digital locks with a secure lock code that is sent to you before your check in day. No need to meet the hosts or exchange keys.

Wasena is a centrally located neighborhood convenient to restaurants, coffee shops, the Roanoke River, mountain hiking & biking trails, downtown Roanoke, the Grandin area & more.



Getting Around:

Street parking is free and plentiful. There is normally a spot available immediately in front of the property or within a one block distance. Public bus access is located adjacent to the property. There are bike rental options available one block away at Roanoke Mountain Adventures as well as uber & lyft. The greenway is located one block away connecting to Downtown as well as the Mill Mountain trail system providing options for both transportation and recreation.

This was a great location for exploring Roanoke! We walked around the neighborhood and also walked through the greenway to get to the Grandin area. Great coffee shop (RND) and restaurant (Bloom) right next door. Aaron was a super responsive host and the apartment was very clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and the space was roomy and perfect for me and my husband. Things to be aware of: 1)This unit requires walking up two sets of somewhat narrow stairs outside. It was a little tricky with our bags. 2) There is major bridge construction across the street. We were there over the weekend so we didn't hear anything until Monday morning.

We stayed for over 2 weeks. It's just as stated, clean, cute great location. There is the Roanoke Greenways trail across the street. We took advantage of that. It's an old craftsman house that's been converted into different areas. We were on the third floor The only negative is the stairs. We'd stay again.

Clean and charming

The apartment is spotless, on a top floor (two flights of outside stairs). The kitchen is well equipped and there's a washer/dryer. The management was super responsive and patient with stupid questions. (Be sure to read the whole digital guide when you confirm the booking or else you'll never be able to figure the thermostat out.) Walking distance to the paths along the river--great for runners and walkers!

We loved the property and apartment we stayed in! Clean updated and just the perfect space for a long weekend or weekly stay. Love the neighborhood and beautiful historical homes. Newly renovated and attention to detail.

We needed a place to stay while visiting the Roanoke area. This was a very nice unit and very close to coffee, ice cream, tapas and downtown. It was an upper unit with lots of stairs but once inside it was a great place to relax after riding the bike path/trail just seconds from the place.
