Välkommen till vårt Up North-hem hemifrån och semester i vackra, lugna Roscommon, Michigan! Detta nyrenoverade hem ligger på en lugn landsväg med fantastisk Ausable River-åtkomst.

Detta hem har 2 sovrum, 2 badrum och till och med en extra platt-TV i ett av sovrummen.

Alla våra apparater är helt nya. Vi har ett komplett kök, men vi har till och med lagt en praktisk pentry till sovrummet för privatliv.

Ta med kanot; ta med dina fiskestänger. Din åtkomst till Ausable River är bara en kort promenad ner denna lugna landsväg.

Positives: location close to cute town and river, pet-friendly, quiet, safe neighborhood. Easy car ride to lakes and parks. We enjoyed the farmers market and coffee shop. The rocks were great.Negatives: surprised to find the place NOT clean based on other reviews raving about the cleanliness. They was feces on the front toilet seat and smeared in the bowl, the corners of the floors and bathrooms had hairs and cobwebs in them, the shower drain had a hairball in it, several hairs in the bedsheets. Several dishes were dirty. We were only there two nights, so we did just clean up ourselves, but cleanliness is of huge importance to me when renting a place, so this was quite a turnoff. I also found it sketchy that instructions hanging on the fridge said to “NOT” strip the bedsheets. How then do we know that they get washed? The back bedroom was chilly and the beds were not comfortable (the couch served as a comfy alternative.) Other than that, the only communication we had from Ed was right after we booked with all of the information. There was no reminder to confirm and no message asking if everything was okay. I am used to more communication from the owners with those types of things. We use STRs often. If you’re not too picky about these things, you’ll probably enjoy this property.

Annual family get-together

Yearly Family Fly Fishing Trip

Great location for us. Less than 20 minutes to Grayling where other family members were staying. The kids loved being able to walk down the street and swim in the river.

Family fishing trip.

wonderful house/cabin right by the au sable. Owner very accessible and friendly. Our fishermen had a great weekend. Store close by, all amenities for food we brought as well. We will be back!

Stunning

We had the opportunity to stay at Ed's place for a short weekend getaway and it was perfect. Kayaked the Au Sable River with Paddle Brave and hiked in Grayling. Perfect location for us and everyone in town was friendly and accommodating! It was a great and relaxing trip, thanks Ed!

Cozy getaway

We needed a place to stay over Labor Day weekend with short notice. We didn't think we'd find anything this reasonable near Higgins Lake since Labor Day is a big "farewell to summer " weekend in northern Michigan. Plus we needed to find a dog friendly property for our 2 small dogs. Ed's cozy home ended up being perfect for us. The house was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to make home cooked meals. We also enjoyed Matt's Lake Street Grill (3 times) and highly recommend this restaurant. The bed was super comfortable and the area was quiet for a good nights sleep. We would definitely stay here again. This is our first time renting a place through VRBO and it was a very pleasant experience. Thank you, Ed!

5 stars. Would stay again.

The location was close to everything that you could need. Groceries. Take out, dine in. The dog beach at the south state park was about a 12 minute drive which was just fine for us. The house was stocked with everything that we needed. It was clean and spacious for two of us and our large breed dog.

Excellent Family Getaway!!!

What an amazing time! Our family truly enjoyed our stay. Communication with the property owner was quick and responsive. The home had everything we needed, and even had a great selection of DVD’s for the rainy night we had. The fire pit was perfect family time the rest of the nights. Plenty of space, and close easy walk to the Au Sable River access. Canoe rental is literally up the street, and North Higgins Lake State Park is a really quick drive away. The Village of Roscommon is cute and quaint, and had everything we needed as well. We’ll definitely be back :-)
