âWe had a very pleasant stay at this motel. The manager was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the check-in process was quick and easy.
Our room was upstairs and included a fridge, microwave, soap, and towels. Everything was clean and well-kept, and the overall atmosphere was very nice.
The mattress was a little firm for our taste, but it wasnât a real problem for us. Some guests who prefer softer beds might want to keep that in mind.

âWe needed up booking here last minute because it was close to a softball tournament. The room is exactly as it appears in the photos. The only thing I would suggest is that it needs attention to details like the cleaning of blinds, walls and baseboards.

Downtown LA is not a place to be for tourists if you want to see the best of LA. I felt completely safe though on hotel premises, in my single room I had a safe for my valuables and during day time it is of course safe to walk around on the streets nearby but of course keep out/away from the Skid Row area with all the tents....

Sightseeing kanske inte Àr vad South San Gabriel framför allt Àr kÀnt för, men i nÀrheten kan du hitta sevÀrdheter som Lake Legg och Pico Rivera Sports Arena.
Ta en promenad runt campus pÄ University of Southern California, ett berömt lÀrosÀte i Los Angeles. GÄ pÄ olika sportevenemang eller njut av maten i detta omrÄde som Àr kÀnt för sina restauranger.

The homeless people are nice and I never felt threatened but look ahead where you are going on the streets and donât look down into your phone.
Single room with a skyview at almost the top but a 13 floor building wonât give so much skyview at all in downtown LA.
Some reviewers here have praised the shower, I looked into my shower and thought thatâs just a regular shower head but OMG that water pressure was superb!
So I am still recommending this hotel for anyone having a purpose to visit downtown LA (not just random touristing of LA) or a romantic getaway where you want to stay in and old fashioned hotel, enjoy the rooftop bar and going by taxi to a restaurant at the evening when it is dark outside (avoid walking when it is dark!).
The tiles in the bathrooms of my single room was really beautiful and the bed just perfect.
So this hotel canât do much about its surroundings but the historic elevators could get some more love by hotel management.
