âOne of my worst hotel experiences
Delayed checkin, extremely low bed, poor sound isolation and a noisy rooftop bar, my room was never cleaned in 4 days, got stuck in the elevator and the second elevator was broken â
âReally nice hotel but canât really see why anyone would like to stay in this part of LA unless your doing business in downtown or have friends to visit there like I had. Downtown LA is not a place to be for tourists if you want to see the best of LA. I felt completely safe though on hotel premises, in my single room I had a safe for my valuables and during day time it is of course safe to walk around on the streets nearby but of course keep out/away from the Skid Row area with all the tents....

âHar bott dĂ€r mĂ„nga, mĂ„nga gĂ„nger under mĂ„nga Ă„r. Hotellet Ă€r bekvĂ€mt, men borde genomgĂ„tt en större renovering för mĂ„nga Ă„r sedan.
Jag gillar hotellet och personalen. Ett bra och prisvĂ€rt alternativ. Mindre Ă€n 10 min med bil till convention center mm.â
âHubs and I really enjoyed our stay! Parking is convenient, I like that I have access to my vehicle. The restaurant and bar was really cool and the food and drinks were delicious! I loved the old but modern vibe! The staff and service was great! The outside is a little old and ghetto i sh but not bad!!! I will definitely come back and stay here. â
âQuite expensive but we had a really nice stay so it was worth it. On our long trip thru cali this was the only hotel who lived up to the expectations. Close to the arena otherwise not much to do or see downtown LA imo. Wouldve loved to stay for more days!â

Ta en promenad runt campus pÄ University of Southern California, ett berömt lÀrosÀte i Los Angeles. GÄ pÄ olika sportevenemang eller njut av maten i detta omrÄde som Àr kÀnt för sina restauranger.

"I was planning to stay for 3 nights at Glendale Express Hotel, but I left after the first night due to several issues. The hotel is very old, with a musty smell in the room, and the walls are incredibly thin. I could hear everything from the neighboring room â there was a loud party going on all night, complete with dancing, children crying, and constant noise. It was impossible to get any sleep.
The room itself was small, outdated, and uncomfortable. The hotel is in desperate need of renovation. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I will never stay here again. Terrible experience overall."
"Hotellets lÀge Àr bra. Trevligt hotell. TyvÀrr var poolen stÀngd de fem dagar vi var dÀr. Fick ingen information om det vid incheckningen vilket var synd dÄ vi frÀmst bokade hotellet för poolen. Vi fick anvÀnda en pool pÄ ett annat hotell men det Àr obekvÀmt att gÄ ivÀg för ett bad. Fick Àven 35 dollar rabatt per natt sÄ vi fick kompensation men hade velat ha informationen innan incheckningen för att kunna vÀlja ett annat hotell."

I felt completely safe though on hotel premises, in my single room I had a safe for my valuables and during day time it is of course safe to walk around on the streets nearby but of course keep out/away from the Skid Row area with all the tents. The homeless people are nice and I never felt threatened but look ahead where you are going on the streets and donât look down into your phone.
Single room with a skyview at almost the top but a 13 floor building wonât give so much skyview at all in downtown LA.
Some reviewers here have praised the shower, I looked into my shower and thought thatâs just a regular shower head but OMG that water pressure was superb!
So I am still recommending this hotel for anyone having a purpose to visit downtown LA (not just random touristing of LA) or a romantic getaway where you want to stay in and old fashioned hotel, enjoy the rooftop bar and going by taxi to a restaurant at the evening when it is dark outside (avoid walking when it is dark!).
The tiles in the bathrooms of my single room was really beautiful and the bed just perfect.
So this hotel canât do much about its surroundings but the historic elevators could get some more love by hotel management.
